Oh god give me a ****ing break.

We win the game but because AV didn't let Carcillo fight Burrows (who I'm 99% sure wouldn't have done it), you miss Torts? God damn root for another team.

Sorry there fan police, didnt know disagreeing with you would mean i had to change teams. Im sure you're always right and winning a game is the only thing a man could want from a team. I'll go find myself a new team then

It still would have happened....but good God this team has no way to make anyone pay a price physically. I wish this kid was ready.

That's not the point. Muscle might not stop one instance but it sure as hell sets the tone for the next customer.

Bluenote -- Keep in mind that Ron also merely speculated that it was a stinger.

True. I just don't think it's bad, sometimes a little show goes a long way.

"I'd rather lose with pride than win with shame" if that doesn't describe the ridiculous macho attitude of hockey fans I don't know what does. Literally the worst part of being a hockey fan is the pervasive attitude that fighting is more important than the actual game.

Great post. People derive some sort of identity from rooting for their favorite team more in this sport than any other. The hyper-masculinity is so overwhelming obnoxious.

Missed the last two periods.

Awful to hear McD got hurt. Hope he's good to go.

The positives: Great game by Hank, another SH...and it's MSL's first Ranger goal! (and the equally rare Nash assist :sarcasm:.)

Rick Nash is always so much more personable in interviews than I expect him to be. Bet he does something in hockey when his career's over.

Zipay just said Mac will be traveling with the team tomorrow. I don't see how that's a bad thing.

That just means that's it's not an obvious tear or something. He can probably move his arm or whatever. Could still be very bad.

Maybe McD can pull a Lawrence Taylor if it is broken/separated and string together the best defensive games of his career?
Anyone else remember when LT separated his shoulder and proceeded to absolutely dismantle the Saints?

Ditto. I've said the exact same thing before. People have a cognitive dissonance when they root for a team that's not prototypically "tough". They want to see themselves as tough and rooting for a team that's "not tough" makes them feel uncomfortable.

Not fighting itself, no. All i want to see is a TEAM. Like the 11/12 season. You can say what you want about my post, but i just want some strong team spirit. It prevents hits like this one.

I'm sorry all of the cliches are making me roll my eyes so far in my head that they hurt.

There may be some that believe that. I'm not one of them.

This thing tonight is the kind of rough, spirited play that happens every spring. It's bound to happen. You need to be able to have at least the ability to respond and hopefully deter to a minimal extent.

I think there are many like me that believe you need a better balance of physicality to this Rangers team. Some Big, Mean, SOB's that will make taking liberties with our best players punitive.

We realize that these players are hard to find as they must also be contributors who skate and play the game decently....but Good God Almighty we need some. I know there will be those that disagree.

I'm not and will never be listening to that non sense when it comes to hockey.

It does not help that of all the things Sather has executed most poorly on, it's in this area where he has failed utterly.

BTW, seems to me that if that POS actually cared about scoring and not hurting McDonagh he could have made a play for the puck or something, considering Kassian already hit McDonagh. Why are 2 players necessary to hit McDonagh unless you're trying to hurt him or make some ****ing highlight reel?

If he was seriously hurt, I'd imagine the plan would be to ship him off to NY to be re-examined by the best. Going to Colorado is actually very encouraging.

Im sorry for your pain. Its just my honest opinion. If its a cliche i wouldnt know, cause its extremely few in my country who's following the NHL, and i dont do this whole community/forum thing a lot.
