You can stand a few losses yet. I guess the squeak in and win approach didn't resonate with you last season since you decided to go on a 6 week heater instead.
Last year I started out 2-5 because I had never played before and really had no idea how to manage. I lost one week because I didn't have three goaltender appearances. This year, I’m a little smarter.

Ready to move on from Ovechkin. He's a good buy-low guy. If he gets back to even close to what he normally is, he can anchor a lineup. I need more immediate and consistent help.

Looking for an upgrade on D.

Work has been slammed this week, so everytime I went to set my lineups for tonight, my phone rang distracting me. By the time I remembered it was 7:05 & the games started. Lucky for me, Talbot decides to shut out the Habs, Fiala gets 2 assists & I leave 37 points on the bench. Can't say I didn't give you an opening, Bob. @bobbop

Interesting. I'm not sure what to think.
Ed has been the only one willing to engage me on Ovechkin. Trocheck isn't a huge need for me but still a nice player to have. I recognize there's a chance Ovechkin picks it up and starts scoring at the rate we're used to but I've been waiting on that for a few weeks and haven't really seen any signs of life. Dude has 3 non-ENG I think. I'm ready to move on. And I feel like Ed really wants him, too.

Man I'd have paid more than that for Ovi lol. Didn't realize he was movable
I said it a few posts up and he's on my trade list as well.

Looking at the trade market on Yahoo it looks like some people were getting great returns for him and others were getting guys that are on our waivers. Was hard figure out what a reasonable expectation should be.

I was going to shoot you an offer but I didn't have any expendable D really ATM. I think that's a fair deal if you needed the C depth. Troch will likely continue to produce the rest of the year.

I still would like to upgrade John Carlson. If someone has surplus D, there's really not anything on my roster that's off-limits other than Draisatl and maybe Josi.

The downside of going to church…I didn’t know that Austin Mathews was a late scratch on Saturday. My backup — Brock Nelson — scored two goals and would have given me enough points to win the week. Feel sorry for me….

Don't worry you can have a nice bounce back week as the Boeser trade somehow blows up in my face and my team decides to have visions of sugar plums dancing in their head instead of scoring. I don't know WTF is a sugar plum is but I think it might be what Matthew Tkachuk's season has been.

Any bottom feeders interested in moving a stud dmen for futures? Looking to move a pick or pick(s)/player for something semi-sexy on the blueline.

Are we 100% for sure doing some kind of keeper, is there an actual plan in place? I'm playing cautiously under the assumption it won't happen and I would like to know we definitely are before we start allowing top teams to cannibalize bottom feeders with imaginary picks. Also we should do a wellness check at the 50% mark for team who are close to the bottom. I've seen a few questionable line-up decisions (not set) and prefer the league stay competitive right to the end. We can canvass for replacement GMs if someone just doesn't have the time or care to finish it out.

On a another note, I need a D and a G, everyone but Nylander/Eichel are available.
