I’ve only watched for like five minutes but our 20 year old prospect fourth string goalie let in two extremely soft goals to start the 2nd. I didn’t see the 1st goal, but I saw a poster say it was bad.

So even though literally all the goals against are on our 20 year old prospect fourth stringer, expect some overreactions.

And our star forwards can’t score more than 1 goal in 1.5 games vs canes and Panthers Lazy to always blame goalies imo

Interesting. I guess it is an oversimplification to say youth for vets is the sole option.

I think @Ghosts Beer is right though - if the Flyers had been able to draft a goalie in the past ten years the other shortcomings would not be as obvious.

I want the opposite. Trade some of the vets for future assets. If we are going to lose. I would rather see young kids battling hard then Simmonds, JVR and Voracek floating and playing without energy. This half rebuild by Hextall was a failure. Blow it up, get a vet dman and rebuild around #14 and #28.

If they were losing 4-3, then I would see your point. But zero ****ing goals against the Canes? This core plays down to their opponents way too much.
Did you see the goals the Canes scored? It's not a big deal in the big picture, but they're definitely on Hart more than anyone else. That doesn't reflect on the core skaters at all. 3 extremely savable goals.

And even IF the game was as bad as the context-less score makes it look, the events of a single game means nothing when making decisions.

I don’t think I ever said goaltending is our only problem?

You can keep deflecting if you want. I’m done either way. However, when you’re playing your 4th string 20 year old prospect as your starter and you, yourself, are posting in a GDT for a game wherein we are losing 0-3 due to 3 soft goals, how is goaltending not one of the biggest concerns?

Voracek has energy but is dumb.

JVR is a disgrace, probably the one guy on the team who deserves a vigorous booing.

Simmonds wants to run but the legs won’t do it.

All three can go, I agree.

And with out Hart we lose 6-1 last game. Forwards still only have 1 goal in 5 periods vs two back up goalies.

The spirit has been sucked out of this team. 4 f***ING YEARS WITH HAK! And Hextall, as awesome as he was with drafting/salary cap, was fine with that bland, beet-heads approach. It just looks like they are beyond deflated.

AMac/Weiss/Hagg/Raffl (due to contact being finished) Weal and Simmer can definitely go.

I'm still a Jake fan but I wouldn't classify him as untouchable. We are badly in need of scoring, so that's about all I'd consider moving him for. Who knows, maybe he's in need of a change.

We desperately need a COACHING CHANGE. The same awful PP and PK are still here. Gordon is better than Hak but CLEARLY not the answer.

The rest of the corp is fine.

I litrilly just suggested I murder someone on these boards, and my post wasn't as morbid as this one.
I was just looking at the isles lineup tonight. 8 young players with none of the fanfare of the flyers youngsters and winning again. Maybe Barzal. Still have Dobson, walhsrom bellows and sorokin to come. I’m getting more more disgusted thinking how over rated this group is.

Because it wasn’t a problem last game, but goal scoring was. This is two straight games vs back ups where or regulars can’t score.

For as bad as our goalies always are, this group has a lot of streaks where scoring completely drys up.
