The bottom two lines are still terribly assembled and the Couts line had zero chance with Simmonds on there. Coaching has improved, but is still clearly an issue.
So are the young players. Face it, tk Patrick Provy ghost have been disappointing this year. Totally agree with you on the useless players but you have to admit the group mentioned prior have been bad. Very bad!

Not really related to the conversation you are having with benny right now, but lately it got really annoying how on this board certain posters ignore the article in "a problem" versus "the problem"...

Oh, it definitely relates. You’re not wrong though. Not sure if there’s a logical fallacy for that, I guess it’s a pseudo straw man, but misframing the conversation is something a lot of people do. Either accidentally or as a way to perpetuate an invalid argument.

Just a reminder. This is all Dave Hakstol and Ron Hextall's fault. No one else.

Probably the most correct thing I’ve seen posted all day. If you really wanna get technical, I’d say it all goes back to Homer. Who is the only one still here.

One would be hard-pressed to name five players on this team who are assessed correctly by the fan base.
Lindblom may be the most overrated of them all. He hasn't impressed me at all so far. Looks like a career bottom 6 player.

The PP hasn't been good, but I think a large chunk of that has been bad luck and some of it is Knob being an idiot with personnel. It's been too successful, for too long, for me to worry about the system or the most important players on it (G and Ghost).

But yeah, the coaching is still a massive problem here. All three of Knob, Lappy, and Gordon must be replaced this summer or we'll continue having similar problems. Blame is being placed on the wrong sources by anyone souring on the core players.

Do the players ever take some responsibility? If you are talented, the coach shouldn't f***ing matter. Alot of the game is one on one battles and decisions.

Maybe Wild Wayne Simmonds is going to come out in the 3rd and set the tone with an intimidating shift.

A fight. Nice rush up the ice with pressure on the opposing D men.

Playing for his next contract, and from what we heard, the “bad cop” in the room. Let’s see that leadership. I’m ready baby.

Seeing the replay of how bad Sanheim butchered that first goal against—can you imagine the different reaction if it were Hagg?

This team has no Malcolm Jenkins, I think that’s the biggest issue. As a result I feel reluctant to evaluate the young guys. They are the ones who need leaders most.
