Three points from me.

1. Hart is indeed going to be a problem, for a long, long time.

2. Easy to settle into this bipolar emotion, but this one does feel like a season-changing third period collapse.

and most importantly -

3. This is looking - and feeling - very similar to last fall/winter. If you recall, we were playing some really good hockey, winning 10 of 11 (after having won only 2 of the first 11)...A date in Philly (yes) broke the W run. We ended up dropping 5 of the next 6, 9 of 11 and off the wheels came.

With a strong Canes squad on deck with Toronto and the western Canada trip, this Philly L feels like the first upper-cut to what will be a beatdown.

I thought Panarin was garbage in this game and the previous one. Constantly turning the puck over, passing when he should be shooting and vice versa, and missing the net/not finishing on grade a chances. I know he's been overall excellent most of the season so hopefully just a mini slump for him right now.

And Skjej + Trouba are not a #1 D pairing in this league.
Panarin is so Teflon for me. He’d have to get drunk, steal a cop car, and drive it into the LI Sound for me to even consider beginning being concerned about him.

To be fair I thought we were the better team for about 40 of the 60 mins. It just feels like groundhog day and I feel we were pp goal from taking the game over.
Yep. And I think people don’t want to say it but so many games are decided by puck luck.

I thought their gap control was great, but they inexplicably went into a run and gun again as things got more frustrating for them

Yup. They forget he did score 22 goals last year. He is not a bad player.
He’s ridiculously snakebit right now. He has never been a “lucky” player. He’s kind of the epitome for me of the guys who’s stick breaks shooting at the yawning cage. But if you acknowledge that you also have to point out that he is constantly in good position to score. Eventually he’ll have a huge season. I am sensing it won’t be as a Ranger though. Probably he ends up in Pittburgh and Hayeses us left and right.

I don't know man. I think the wheels fell off last year when they traded Zucc and Hayes at the TDL. They do have some tough teams coming up and the Western Canada trip but I think they hold their own again until this years TDL when they lose Kreider, Strome, etc.

Worst loss of the season for me. This team is a long way away.

Really disappointed with how soft they appear to be. Just completely implode way too often. It’s embarrassing.

They played great for 55 minutes dude. They are not soft by any stretch. They did play yesterday and they looked a little tired late in the game as the game did have some pace. I don't know what game you were watching.

They play an overly finesse style and dont adjust in a tight game.

I understand the inconsistencies from the kids... I dont understand it from the vets.

We have suspect leadership and preparation from the coaching staff.

I don't want to overreact, but I'm really frustrated that we keep on giving up 4, 5, 6 goals in games where Hank (or Georgiev) are playing really well.

Flyers fan and promise to play nice. Rangers are a much better team this year and are stuck in wrong division. It happens. One thing I noticed and wondering what people thought. It seems like the Rangers want to make the perfect cross ice pass shoot one timer over and over. And against Hart its the wrong strategy. He moves fantastic laterally when puck is in front of him. You beat Hart by playing behind the net or forcing him to handle the puck and I didn't see that at all from Rangers. Also Rangers need another guy or two in front of the net to get the nasty jam it and rebounds the bleep out of the puck. Lundy is still great was in general a great hockey game to watch.

They are not a soft team. That's just a bullsh@t narrative. I can't remember a game this year that I felt they were physically intimidated. They have guys who can and do play with an edge. Trouba, ADA, Lemieux, Lindgren, Smith,Howden, Haley even Kreider. This isn't the 70's with the Broad street bullies anymore. We don't need goons anymore.

Buchnevich had 1/4 of the teams scoring chances tonight. You should seek medical help if you thought he was the problem.

and how many did he convert on? How many wide open looks did he blow? He’s paid to produce that was a joke and he knew it. He could have won us this game. There’s responsibility in finishing a play too

My take from this game is that Skjei-Trouba has been a disaster for several weeks now. They both need to be much, much better.

Tony Ds nasty hit followed by a punch to konecnys mouth was the absolute highlight of this game.

And that Fil Chytil is goin' to be studly one day.

Defensively this team doesn’t get it

the backing in stuff and yielding prime turf to your opponent needs to stop

i see this defense as a work in progress. Still on board with ruff being shown the door

the only guys who were successful in stepping up tonight were fox and ADA.

there seems to be less defensive structure than other teams and that is perhaps the single biggest reason for the struggles with consistency.

We are a team of finesse forwards and passive defenders.
