Was it for smashing his stick on the bench like a baby? I can’t imagine he got 10 minutes for dropping his gloves. Were you fine with the Gudbranson 10 min?
I see what you mean now. I was just agreeing that the fan base would be acting differently if it wasn’t 4-1. And way more pissed at the missed breakaway opportunity. Whether it was Lemieux’s fault or the refs’ fault, I don’t know. That wasn’t my main point.I know exactly what my point is. The moment the play ended, regardless of how the penalties shook out, posters were cheering on Lemieux. In reality, it was a stupid, selfish play (albeit highly entertaining), because it caused play to stop when Chytil was on a breakaway. I was commenting that posters here would be ripping Lemieux a new one if this was a close game, because we could have scored on the play. Did you accidentally quote the wrong poster?
The subsequent verdict by the officials was terrible (they’ve been horrible for about 10 games in a row now, this is par for the course), I agree. But my original point had nothing to do with whether or not Lemieux got a penalty. It was speaking purely to the point that he caused the play to stop at a bad time.

They most certainly don’t.Players smash their sticks after almost every goal
Blatant slash, no call. I'm convinced the Refs have it out for DQ after calling them out several times his first pro year coaching.

Or maybe because he’s too ***** to stand up for his guys?
