I know exactly what my point is. The moment the play ended, regardless of how the penalties shook out, posters were cheering on Lemieux. In reality, it was a stupid, selfish play (albeit highly entertaining), because it caused play to stop when Chytil was on a breakaway. I was commenting that posters here would be ripping Lemieux a new one if this was a close game, because we could have scored on the play. Did you accidentally quote the wrong poster?

The subsequent verdict by the officials was terrible (they’ve been horrible for about 10 games in a row now, this is par for the course), I agree. But my original point had nothing to do with whether or not Lemieux got a penalty. It was speaking purely to the point that he caused the play to stop at a bad time.
I see what you mean now. I was just agreeing that the fan base would be acting differently if it wasn’t 4-1. And way more pissed at the missed breakaway opportunity. Whether it was Lemieux’s fault or the refs’ fault, I don’t know. That wasn’t my main point.

Players smash their sticks after almost every goal

Yeah, players skate over to the bench and demolish their sticks while loudly screaming obscenities in anger after they score goals all the time.

What a ridiculous post. You know exactly what the OP was saying and are just being purposely obtuse now.
