Do explain - yea, three penalties is rough. He'll fix that. what about his play was off?

Mostly later in the game, but he missed a bunch of plays in the defensive zone, was falling all over the place, and started getting sloppy over all.

Not to say he played bad, I was merely trying to illustrate that his presence on that line appeared to make them better, although I didn't specifically see many plays where his individual play made a difference

Can someone explain what the **** the org is doing with Kreider?

Send him to the AHL or play him. Playing your #1 prospect 3min on *the fourth line with Pyatt and Powe is just outrageous.

Party like it's 1999.

It was nice to see them be finishers tonight.
Where nice plays became nice goals with the red light and everything.

outside of zucc's penalties i thought he was solid. i still think the first high stick wasn't a high stick. the winnipeg player saw the stick come up and sold it.

and he probably didnt even know the hand-closing was a rule

like i said a while ago im not going to get excited until they string together 3-4 wins in a row. winning 1 game doesnt mean anything when you were just embarrassing in the previous 2.

I believe he did, but there's still no official word about how long he's going to be out. So until there is, that's why I say "probably"

He had surgery to repair a broken jaw...he's not playing the next two games or any other game in April for that matter.

I think Kreider is going down and Asham steps into the lineup come Wednesday night... Pending deadline moves, of course.

Trade for Roy, send Miller down.

Wouldnt mind Roy, but i'm sure he would cost way too much.

Carolina is officially behind the Islanders so the Islanders is the only team we need to worry about for now.Winnipeg Vs Isles tomorrow will be Huge. If the Jets can take a 6 point lead on Carolina and Washington, Canes and Caps will cool off a bit in their push and the Isles will be 2 games back from us. New Jersey is back in the picture.

Torts saying Kreider/Miller cant be trusted.. Well ****, they won't see much ice time now.. better get some bottom 6 guys Slats.

Can definitely see him picking up at least one vet forward. Honestly, it might not be the worse thing in the world for both to be sent to the Whale, and have a nice playoff run down there.

This. How much does Roy cost us?

Probably too much that it's not worth it for the Rangers in the position they are in this season.

Seeing what Iginla got... maybe two mid-level prospects gets Roy? Rangers definitely hurting without a 1st rd pick in the rental market.

If we were in 5th and pushing for fourth, and had the potential to take a run at the Penguins, obviously I'd be willing to kick the tires on Roy a bit harder. Wouldn't hurt to take a look though.

I just think it might be for the wiser to get Kreider and Miller to the Whale and let them help in the Whale's push for the playoffs. Call them up if the Rangers are still around and the Whale are not. We've seen what Kreider can do when the stakes are that high already ;)

We will see more JT and Kreider in the PO if we make it. Playoff race is tighter than actual playoff games as far as importance of each game in a different way. It's a marathon with 14 games, a race with 7.

Brad Richards and Marian Gaborik were terrific tonight ( as was MZA tbh ).

That line deserved a goal...or 3.

imho they were better than the Stepan, Nash, Callahan line...they just didn't score.

I'd keep both of those lines together... Nash on the LW makes this team deeper.

Was at the game. Can anyone tell me why the offside that led to the Jets 2nd goal was brought back into our zone. It didn't look like Miller was even offside. And where was tge hook on Nash on his partial breakaway. Sometimes being at the game leaves you with less information.

I agree but unfortunately putting the puck in the net is the most important thing and stepan, cally and nash can while gabby and richards have not. I think Gabby is definitely salvageable if he plays like he did today. that line was fun to watch, but in the end it only matters if you bury the puck in the back of the net and Stepans line did that numerous times tonight.

Bad first, but otherwise it was a good game.

Derek Stepan is improving at an incredible rate. Looks like a young Patrice Bergeron.

I would do a st croix and yogan plus a third. Don't want to move Thomas yet and Mac, fasthe,Lind, skeigh sp? off limits as well I hope.

I agree with your whale scenario and hope they kick the tires as you propose vice overpay. This wed will be our season.

Zooks played well. Early in the first period when nothing was going well he made a great pass. The penalties were kind of a fluke. He ended up with 3 shots on net and had probably 3-5 good passes. I think Gabs and Richards are looking better with him. They had a really nice bang bang pass play from Zooks to Gabs to Richards but it bounced off Richards stick. It looked like a sure goal if it did not.

One positive thing I can say... I don't know how teams will be able to handle us if Zucc-Richards-Gaborik start scoring, and Kreider is finally put in a situation to succeed...

POTG: Stepan

3 stars:

Callahan
Gaborik
Richards

HM: Zuccarello and Lundqvist

Everyone played well tonight. Girardi had a few blunders, and Hamrlik is Hamrlik, but aside from that, this is the best they've played in quite some time.

Same problem persists, though - no depth scoring. Every time we win a game, it's our first line taking over. Zuccarello-Richards-Gaborik played extremely well, but they HAVE to finish.

That being said, if they play like that every night, they'll eventually pot some.
