Yeah I see what he did. He benched Kreider and Powe and alternated Pytt and Miller on the 3rd line, that's why I got confused.

Don't think Zucc played particularly well, however Gaborik and Richards played noticeably better and I'm not sure that's a coincidence

Do explain - yea, three penalties is rough. He'll fix that. what about his play was off?

i would argue that these guys all - even the apparently lethargic krieder - play hard every night. they make mistakes, mainly mental, but i'm sure they all go home tired. it's just that the best players play hard and smart every night. i have seen very few players really 'jake' it. though it does look like it sometimes.

Looks great to me. I would just switch Hagelin and Kreider, since I don't like the idea of Kreider and Miller on the same line...and I think that's a line that Torts would easily only play 5 minutes a game.

We just need a playmaking 3rd line c. As much as I want a pmd for pp if nothing else the 3c has to be addressed. Miller just isn't there yet.

i'd prefer they leave miller as the 3rd line center and let him develop into the role.

yeah, big time. If Torts isnt planning on using him, let him get 20 minutes a game in the Whale instead (i feel that Torts *should* use him, but thats a different matter alltogether).

2 shifts a period (if that) is pointless. If he had been 35 years old, i'd have understood it, but Kreider is supposed to be developing *sigh*

think torts says, 'i told the guys to loosen up an not worry so much about making mistakes. as long as they're giving the effort, i can live with some errors'. doubt it, but that would be nice to hear.

I think it's pretty obvious now that Stepan in the Rangers number 1 center.

i'd prefer they leave miller as the 3rd line center and let him develop into the role.

Overall I think his play has been decent but we have to get consistent points from that 3rd line or at least better than what we've been putting up. Long term miller is a keeper but in the playoffs I'd prefer a proven vet.
