Very Good- Cally, Steps
Good- Nash, Hank, McD
Bad- Richie and Gabby (Laurel and Hardy...couldn't score if there was no Goalie)
Very bad- Torts ruining Kreids

Must agree on the last one. The post game remarks that he doesn't trust them (him and Miller) at this point is at best honest but, not very pedagic. Ok that we are dealing with pros and adults, but when you have a guy that holds on to his stick like a teen on viagra, that is not helping. He needs trust (or to score - ref: anaolgy) Better send him to Whale.

Missed the game but nice to see the boys pick up 2 points.

Tied for 8th with Isles but we have a game in hand. Back to back games against Pens.

What a game by the Captain!

Turning point of the season? Lets hope so! All of a sudden im really pumped for the game on Wed, TIME TO END THE PENS WINNING STREAK!!

I think I watched 20 turning points this season so far. This needs to be the last one.

I really, really enjoyed the Stepan line but Zuccarello seems to be the one to light a fire under Beaver's ass. Good to see.

Very bad-Have to add Zucc's three minors...could have easily been 6

Can anyone tell me why Stepan and Zucc got assists on Callahans shorty? I just don't understand at all, seeing as first of all, Enstrom was trying to chip it over Callahan and failed, but he definitely had possession of the puck and gave it to Callahan who never passed it to anyone. Not only that, but even if they didn't count Enstrom as having had possession, Zucc was straight out of the box and he didn't touch it at all...

I thought it was just a goof by the broadcast team but it's still on the boxscores and nobody else seems to be talking about it. What am I missing here? :dunno:

Pretty sure the puck hit Zucc on the clearance, before falling to Callahan.

Hank should be under the very good. He made some amazing saves when we were down. So many hard slap shots through traffic with no rebounds in front. He was spectacular tonight. Right below Stepan in terms of our best player IMO.

Gabby had a wonderful game as well, skating, engaged, forechecking, tons of shots. He was buzzing all night.

Richie also played well I though, but you can leave him in the bad for flubbing two clear empty nets.

Kreider - Agreed. Send him to the AHL if you're going to treat him like this. Miller on the other hand, needs to be sent down to work out kinks. He has been awful.

I'm just guessing here, but I feel like he's saying that we are use to Hank standing on his head, and it's not very surprising when he plays spectacular. In other words, Hank was good in Hank terms, but he was very good in comparison to other NHL goalies.

I understand that logic, but really, thats BS. He kept us in the game a few times with a one goal lead. He also made the best save of the night according to NHL network. He was very good.

Saturday night against the Habs, Miller hit the post, the crossbar and was stoned on another chance. He got in position for three prime scoring chances. He makes mistakes but awful?? No. Brian Boyle is awful. You have to go to a game to really appreciate how bad Boyle is. He lost Antropov on the first goal last night and lost the draw that led to the second goal while creating nothing offensively. He was that bad, yet he got a lot of minutes. Hoping he's is being showcased for a deal. Otherwise, Torts is truly a moron.

To be fair, that delay of game penalty is new for this season I believe.

It is. I didn't even get mad at him when he did it, because I figured he didn't know the rule existed. If I remember correctly, it was added this year along with the penalty for batting the puck with your hands during faceoffs.

Anyway, good game last night. Now please, carry that kind of effort forward. Would be nice.

Did you listen to his postgame remarks?

Obviously it's his responsibility to look into rule changes when coming over, but you can't fault him for saying (and rightly so) that he wasn't the one who actually commited the first high stick, and then jokingly saying he's glad he was the one who had to sit since Steps plays the PK.

He went on to thank his team mates for bailing him out on his three penalties.

I did not listen to the postgame. If that's truly how things played out, I have no problem. And I'm glad he credited his teammates.

I just hate when players try to excuse stupid plays. Not saying that's Zucc in this instance, just in general. :)
