Quinn's constant yelling definitely wear on the players. He got a lot of nerve for a rookie coach, seems like the veterans have had just about enough of him already, like Hayes and perhaps even Zucc. He should be a little careful, if the players turn against him he's done.
Yeah, he will be done because 2 players that won'5 be here after the tradeline had enough of him.:help:

Marc Staal’s contract would still go against the cap.
I would think his contract does not have a minimum thresholds of games he must play a year
If the NHLPA is an association and not a union I doubt they would have any regress under the Taft Hartley Act or any othe Federal or New York State Labor laws.
I don’t see any reason that would compel a team from playing the players they want to play and having those they don’t want watching from the press box.

You can’t coerce him. That’s what im talking about.

Aww their feelings might get hurt. Who cares, let them find a safe space to cry in until the trading deadline because they’re both goners.

They probably can't wait to get outta here and start playing for a cup contender again.

But when it comes to Zucc, Gorton is on his knees begging him to accept a new contract and take the captaincy to turn this ship back on course. But this screaming coach doesn't make it easier for him to make the decision and help the GM.

Uhhhh....literally none of that is happening. Zucc not gonna be here past February.

Lot of odd man rushes given up by guys trying to stand up the neutral zone/blue line. This is something that people here have wanted for years (the trying to stand up at the blueline, not the odd man rushes), but as we see it's not just as easy as changing the strategy. Players have to get better at executing or the coaches will have to change the strategy.

Maybe it was the mixing of lines around, maybe it was the back to back, maybe it's just going to be growing pains but the Rangers definitely let things get too sloppy. Start trying to run and gun and get burned. Good time to have several practice days.

Really don’t love the make up of this locker room...we need a real captain

Was Chytil crying on the bench ? I think he may need some more time in the AHL and lias would be the better choice in this lineup. Would probably show more leadership than our “veterans” at this point

I think they were just trying a different style. Quinn has the luxury for a bit to not worry about Division/President Runs.

I still feel this is all part of a long view.

I see your point.
My thoughts on Staal would definitely be conscrewed as coercion.
Maybe there could be a gray area were they could nudge him into doing the right thing for himself and the team and Staal not sufer any monetary loss?

I’m not talking about breach of contract.

The NHLPA will not allow the players even if Staal was 100% for it, to allow the Rangers to talk him into such a sweetheart deal.
If you have time and are willing could you elaborate on this point. I am not following.
Thanking you in advance.

BTW Lindy Ruff is still here flying under the radar, and nobody blames him for anything.
I did last year and yes he continues to fly under the radar. I hope by the time the likes of Lindgren, Hajak and other younger d men are here he's gone.
