Didn't bother him in Liiga. Why would it now?

He's clearly struggling with brutal NHL schedule.

I'm not worried because he's barely playing at his 50% output given how tired he looks out there.

Elite players at least show flashes of brilliance during their rookie years. They might be 0.5PPG or so — but you can see that the guy will be a recular 70+ point producer. Maybe scouts overhyped Kakko — but I don’t see Svechnikov, Hughes, Dahlin or Heiskanen level talent.

Svechnikov had 20-17-37 his rookie year. Kakko is on pace for 19-19 38. Like I said, chill the f*** out on him.

That's just like the Kreider Petterson elbow last year. That was a major in that game.

Scouts said he was the most NHL ready of the top picks — that he was more NHL ready than Hughes. Really don’t see any of that.
Scouts don't know who's ready until they get to camp and play with NHL players. See this every draft year. Some players just need time to grow and adapt to the NHL grind. I'm not worried in the slightest.

Kucherov had 18 points in 52 games in his rookie season.
