Now that I have calmed down, I am not mad at the team. Sure we got sloppy but even a below average goalie doesn't blow this game.
If we were close to moving on from Freddy in the off season, this game put it on Overdrive.

I said it during the playoff bubble, but it seems like the perfect replacement for Andersen would have been a bold pivot to Jacob Markstrom in the offseason.

The bottom line is that if Dubas wants a mentally strong team that can do what it takes to win, Rielly and Andersen simply can't have prominent roles. They're both mental midgets who can not make good decisions

Rielly can't even make good offensive decisions anymore.

Andersen and Rielly are the difference. Where we play Rielly, our top competition plays McAvoy, Jones, Theodore, Pietrangelo, Makar, Hedman. Where we play Andersen, our competition plays Vaislevski, Rask, Lehner/Fleury, etc.

Matthews and Marner have put this team on it's back and two of our core guys have become our biggest weaknesses. Doesn't help that JT looks like the JT of last year again.

Matthews and Marner deserve better than this garbage. They should be contending for cups, not putting up 70% of the teams offence and still losing.

I think Kerfoot was out there because they iced the puck the play before, wasn't Keefe's choice.

That was an icing call I believe. Kerfoot's line iced it and Ottawa chose to take the time out. But Kerfoot is all about those crap icing plays because a lot of times he doesn't want to absorb the hit that's coming if he's going to wait to make the play at the red line, so he bails a little early.
