I'm not going to pile on after terrible loss against a garbage team but I haven't posted in here for several weeks.

I'm still not convinced that this is a Cup contending team because they play in the weak Canadian division. They would probably still struggle against the better American based teams.

I’m still unsure they win in the Playoffs when WILL counts for greater than SKILL

The Leafs are where the Caps were a few years ago. Had a good team but never could win a big game with the players they had. Were missing true battled-tested guys who knew what it takes to win tough hockey games.

Just like the Caps it will take moving popular players to get over the hump and bring in people willing to play the proper way and be mentally strong.

Freddy, Rielly and Nylander will be 3 that need to go to change the culture of the team.

As mad as I am at the team, this is basically the story. The Leafs really didn't allow much, but what they did, went in.

I liked the idea of trading Andersen after his signing bonus was paid and before the start of the season, where he only cost $1 million in real dollars, before it was cool of course. Financially struggling teams should have been all over that.

No one will take him. They have seen how shit he is last two years.

Dubas will have to attach a 1st rd pick for anyone to be sane enough to take the shit that is Fred.

First of all, I couldn't watch this game because it was blacked out even though I am in the Maple Leafs Region and watch their games all the time. What the f***? I assume this happened to at least some other people here?

Secondly, it looks like I was lucky anyway. I would have lost my mind watching the end of this game. How in the actual hell does a team lose to the Ottawa f***ing Senators after having a 5-1 lead and a PP with less than ten seconds left in the second period? I've seen this team collapse numerous times, but this may be their worst collapse of the Goddamn century when you factor in score, quality of competition, team record etc. Just brutal.

With all the positivity this year, I'm so disappointed to see this version of the Leafs again. I was really hoping we were done with that....The Kadri trade looks worse and worse. At this point, I think we should trade Nylander. He just doesn't play the style that's needed to win. I think maybe it was the hit in the world juniors that changed him.

The Leafs had a xGF of 4.5. We got 5 goals. About as expected.

The Sens had a xGF of 2.8. They scored 6 goals.

Was it all Freddy? No.

But this is a consistent pattern with Freddy.

All teams have downs and bounces go against, but good teams find a way to battle through. Tonight Leafs Captain was bad, Andersen making medium danger chances look dangerous outplayed by f***ing Hogberg.

Coach also not making mid game changes. Lots of people to blame. Being up 5-1. No excuse to lose. None.

There is just no way you can be dominating then all the sudden you got no game! This is what I am talking about. You don’t have from the start ok whatever, can happen... but its inexcusable to be dominant and then completely off the rails in 20mins. There is something wrong between the ears big time.

obviously the Leafs should have won that game. It seemed that we could watch that 18 wheeler go off the cliff in slow motion. Time for a pushback and 4 of 4 points Wednesday and Thursday.

This statement is exactly why we have been treading on thin ice all season. I'm not saying the sky is falling, but if they can't figure out how to put in a solid 60 minutes, there better be some major moves in the off season. We may make it out of the North on skill alone, but the minute we play any of the perennial contenders down south, it's over. Es specially, when efforts like tonight's are becoming the norm and not the exceptions...

I hope they're all embarrassed in that dressing room. I know I am.

The only reason this team is where they are this year is a focus on defense. If they don't do what is needed in this department, they will lose far more games than they should, especially in the playoffs.

This team still has their mentally small moments I see. Lots of embarrassing moments for these guys like being trounced in JT's return to NY, Losing to a Zamboni driver, and now blowing a 5-1 lead to the worst team in the NHL. We're at the top of the division so I don't want to overreact but stiff like this can't keep happening.

The game where Winnipeg came back in Matthews and Laine’s first game against each other and Laine capped it off with an OT Hattrick goal.
