Puju is on Florida?
They signed him today.

It would be nice if the Oilers brought in a forward and defenceman who are analytics darlings this season. I feel like we're always bringing guys in a year or two too late.
Definitely paid more than Frederick
I think the closer equivalent would be 2x1st for Rakell and Karlsson (which I do have time for lol, as long as they get a goalie too)2 x 1sts for Rakell and McCann. Let's go!
He didn’t retool, they kept the same core and he continued to bleed them dry until they couldn’t compete anymore due to lack of depth (sound familiar ?)
He traded away:
Panarin, Andrew Ladd, Dustin Byfuglien for MARTY REASONER, Brian Campbell for a bottom 6 forward, traded away a young Philip Danaut for 4th liner Dale Weise, traded Ryan Hartman for a bust, traded Henri Jokiharju for Alex Nylander (the bust) , and Robin Lehner for Malcolm Subban. He also traded away the picks that would become Brock Nelson, Igor Shesterkin, and Jake Oettinger with nothing to show for it. Those are just the major blunders, never mind all the minor ones.
His GMing track record is beyond awful, you have no idea how badly he tanked the Blackhawks.
I'd trust Tampa's scouts a hell of a lot more than ours.I couldn't fathom the outrage here if we flipped two 1sts for Gourde and Bjorkstrand.
Another team did it though, so we're dumb for not I guess.
I swear to god if Frederic went somewhere else for the same package yesterday there would be cries of "WHY COULDN'T WE DO THAT!?" Instead we have to pretend it's a massive overpay, only because we did it.

Plus we'd just waste our picks anyways like we always do.
They won two Cups with his rosters. Who cares who drafted the core?
And yup, his track record in latter years was full of desperation moves to get the team back to being competitive. It didn't work. Few teams extend their windows that long, and they're the closest thing any modern team has had to a dynasty
This team can't even manage to get one. And JJ's moves this summer have cemented that. He's the one everyone should be mad at here. And hate on Bowman all you want, that fraud is the one that hired him
The NMCs are the final nail in the coffin
To be fair Hagel on his own was worth the picks that went for him and the picks that went for JeannotTheir scouts have some pretty big notable misses.
The entire draft for Jeannot comes to mind.

Yup, Hagel was a very nice find for them. They won't hit all the time but considering that we missed on basically every acquisition since June...To be fair Hagel on his own was worth the picks that went for him and the picks that went for Jeannot
YesNot sure what the Oilers prioritize less:
- goaltending
- GM
- professional scouting
- goaltending coach

Gotta pay to play. Bolts will win the cup or at least win the eastGoodness that’s a lot
Two firsts for Rachel alone. Sign me up!I think the closer equivalent would be 2x1st for Rakell and Karlsson (which I do have time for lol, as long as they get a goalie too)
No problem, and yep- it's a far cry from saying they are done...lol. Tony got his quote from that interview...hahaThanks for providing the link, which really didn't take that much work I'm sure. So Frank is giving out his opinion that he THINKS the Oilers won't have Kane's LTIR money, that's quite different than they won't and are doing nothing at the deadline.
Possibly the Jets, I could see them adding Ryan O'Reilly and Mikko Rantanen, that would really push them upward.I wonder what's the next all in move and which team
Dallas, Vegas, Jets?I wonder what's the next all in move and which team
I think the Jets are next.I wonder what's the next all in move and which team
My gut says canes don't trade RantanenMove out Kane and Arvy. Bring in Rantanen, Oleksiak, + goalie. Just keep Savoie. Everything else is fair game. O'Rielly, 2026 & 27 firsts, Akey etc.
No excuses.
I wonder if they call the Preds and do something insane, like getting Josi and O'Reilly in the same deal.I think the Jets are next.
