This is against a rebuilding Ottawa Senators team that the Leafs gave up a 5-1 lead to. There are no excuses for any one player on this lineup, except maybe Matthews. As a player, you're expected to compete for the entire game and as a coach, it is your duty to make in-game adjustments. The fact that he didn't pull the goalie or even call a timeout is reason enough... never mind the lopsided nature of his player deployment.

There is just no way you can be dominating then all the sudden you got no game! This is what I am talking about. You don’t have from the start ok whatever, can happen... but its inexcusable to be dominant and then completely off the rails in 20mins. There is something wrong between the ears big time.

Goals against in last minute are back breakers. To top it off Sens also got one in opening minute. 2 goals in a matter of minutes and new game. Breakaway is 50/50 for sure but c'mon...you got a 4 goal lead. Only Andersen would choke it away. Even Hutchinson could've won that game for us.

2 breakaway goals, 1 2-on-1 down low on the PP, a clear give away by Tavares with no one covering anyone, Dadanov skating freely in front of the net with no one on him.
The one bad goal was the first one, you cannot get beat short side like that.

The rest, is on the skaters imo. Other than the 1st line, the rest were absolute shit the entire game. Don't let the goals for fool you.
When push came to shove, the Sens were playing way more desperate than our boys...

Could Andersen made some of those saves, maybe... but you know what f*** that, this is on the skaters. Period.

I have to confess - I jinx the Leafs. I've known that for a couple years now that when I watched the game they ended up losing a lot more than winning.
For that reason, I deliberately stayed away from watching any single Leaf game this season (and they were doing well), until tonight - and I tuned in only after they were leading 5-1. No way I could jinx them leading by 4 goals against the bottom team, I said to myself.
Well, I did again. I shall stay away from them again. As a die hard Leafs fan, this is killing.
