25th Anniversary Game Feb 8th

I think the image on the pin is from a picture in the May 26th newspaper article (the day after the game). So being charitable I'm gong to assume they meant May 26th which is still weird (and a crappy error) as it should be the day of the game. I think if someone mentions it on social media (if it hasn't already) the rangers will get the pin remade and sent to the other buyers with the error pin an extra collectors item.

the newspaper came out on May 25th the morning of the game.

A guarantee is usually given before the event. That's what made it so special haha.
 
They must have been thinking of:

I could barely see Mess with the arms raised, nevermind the dates, ha. Looked like a good little set, I've always collected pin badges.

Surely this would have been checked and double checked with something as particular as a limited run and for an occasion such as this!

The pins have pictures. The image on the pin reminded me of the picture from the paper after they won, kind of like this one. The picture from the paper with the guarantee is very different. They should have used that one anyway, or one with him carrying the cup. Oh, and use the right date.

I know people are sick of the team constantly talking about 94 but I don’t have an issue with the celebration and such around this. 25 years is a pretty big deal and one that many teams celebrate for championships and such. A few teams have done 10 year ones recently. I also feel like up until recently because of the ceremony coming up; 94 hasn’t really been brought up as much. Before the Rangers begin their run in 11-12 I felt it was non stop romanticizing of 94 on MSG. Hell, up until they retired Howell and Bathgate’s numbers in 09 you would have thought their was no history prior to 94. I’m fine with all of this and will enjoy the ceremony Friday.

So many great memories. The regular season dominance over the Devils, the OT win in LA, the Zubov goal at the Coliseum. All leading to the playoffs. Pretty great freshman year of college.

They didn't even release any info, or admit their mistake. They just replaced the pins overnight haha. I'm keeping mine. It's a symbol of this organization's incompetence

They didn't even replace it with something worthwhile. The new pin is basically the pin on the right, without the blue background.

i cried a little bit, not even gonna lie. sheesh, man, Richter was my guy. really shitty the way he was forced to retire because of injury.
