25th Anniversary Game Feb 8th

Noonan had a "prior engagement". Other than Karpo I think he was the only player not there (his wife and daughter were).

I wonder how many of these mess and the other oilers went to.

The current team had to sit through the whole thing. I wonder what they were thinking.

He’s doing all kinds of work on renewable energy, particularly solar. I have a friend who is an accountant for him with the firm that handles the money he uses for that.

Yeah I know that's what he got into during his post career, he's probably been doing that for what 12 or 13 years already at least? Just because one of the last few times he was around, he mentioned it in an interview maybe on Boomer and Carton if I'm remembering right? Anyway it was just so good to see him since we usually always see Graves,Messier,Leetch etc. Also absolutely loved seeing Kovalev!
 
Does anyone know where to get one of the 1994 25th Anniversary game pucks for tonight? I saw them on the Rangers' instagram and they're beautiful

I bought 4. I gave one to a friend but if you really want one, let me know. They had a limited number of pucks

Funny you mention that because my best friend does municipal bonds and was talking with Richter a few months ago at a business venue - small world.

Shattenkirk looked like a kid in the candy store during the ceremony
Never realized how short Glenn Healy was
Some guys look great (Kovalev and Beukeboom look like they can still go out there and play). Others guy got really O-L-D.

A nice trip down memory lane.

I have to admit I teared up when they showed Karpavtsovs wife and daughter.
 
Just getting home and to a charger now, had a decently hectic time getting there and my phone died just before getting to my seats, so sorry I couldn’t find you and get a beer with you @Amazing Kreiderman, I did go wandering around between the ceremony and game looking for you just on the off chance of running into you. C’est la vie.

I met a guy from the NHL league offices before Christmas and we talked hockey a little bit and he gave me his card and told me to email him if I ever wanted tickets, so after the new year I checked the schedule and just picked a random Friday game I thought they might be able to win, also liked the 8pm start time because I thought it would make it less stressful to get everyone together and get to the game (ha). I didn’t realize it was the 25 anniversary event game until after I sent the email and thought that I’d probably have to pick something else, but he emailed me back and put me down for more seats than I asked for on will call, had no idea where I was sitting until I got there and got an envelope of tickets, this guy got me 4 isle seats in row 9 of section 118.

I thought the ceremony was great, and I’m pretty sure Zubov’s family was in my section for it. The ring they gave out looks way better than I thought it would, but I’m kind of mad I missed out on buying one of those hats, but even with them getting shut out, it was probably the most fun game I’ve been to since a few of those playoff games during the cup run

Beuk looked really good--I was very happy to see that.
It was a very nice trip down memory lane.
