Todd Pletcher has himself a bad boy. Very impressive debut in Tampa Bay's 6th with Brad Cox, Chad Brown and a stablemate among the foes. Valentinian, an Into Mischief colt, paid $6.00. The race was for 1 1/16th miles. A $1.5 million purchase price.

A Florida-bred running in South Florida just pulled a 17-to-1 upset in the Gotham. Reylu Gutierrez's smile could light up Manhattan tonight. Onto the Kentucky Derby.

How does the Gulfstream track handicapper not have the 2 in her top four in a field of 6?
or another way of putting it-the handicapper has the 2 picked to finish last or next to last. or just totally off the board. which would be beyond insane. the 2's racing form as a 2 year old was just as good if not better than every horse in today's field.

who was the handicapper-samantha perry?

and she used to be a jockey.

i am assuming she read the same telegraph horse sheets that you, i and every other bettor were as well.

ehh. i'm going to assume that she didn't predict master johnny v to wire the field in the finale for today either.
Pletcher had an outstanding day today.

Mike Smith had a 22-1 winner. Good day for the Hall of Fame riders.
