WTF?!? Can't believe there's misinformation on the interwebz. What is this world coming to?

Gotcha. Gryz best seasons were still with Boston though so I dont get that comp.
His two best evs points per 60 came with Boston anyways. The only reason his numbers are up so much is because he gets 3min more a game and number 1 PP time. He has 37 career PP points. He has 10 with the penguins.
Fiala will have nowhere near the production boast Gryz has.
LOL
"Kevin Fiala is signed to a 7 year, $55,125,000 contract with a cap hit of $7,875,000 per season, currently playing for the Los Angeles Kings. His contract was signed on June 29, 2022, and expires at the end of the 2028-29 season, when Fiala will be 32 years old."
Thats a quote from Puckpedia
You sure your not looking at Devin Fiala
Rakell might return a first with the Pens going hard on retention but I doubt that the Pens are willing to do that. With low/minimal retention he probably only brings back the equivalent of a 2nd which is such a mid return that I'd probably rather keep him tbh.I mean, I’ve watched Fiala and Rakell. If you think they are comparable players that’s on you, but IMO Fiala on L2 can drive it without Malkin. He’s an incredibly talent even if he has had huge struggles in the playoffs.
He adds value now and if he pots a few 70-80 pt seasons we probably get a 1st for him.
Rakell is never returning a 1st IMO.

You’re not getting that first for 3 more years if it works out.He adds value now and if he pots a few 70-80 pt seasons we probably get a 1st for him.
Puckpedia Pens' page also says Rak signed through '27-'28 season. It says Fiala is UFA in 2029.
Rakell is UFA in 2028.

You've missed part of the conversation. On the Pens' and Kings' team home pages where they list the whole rosters' hits on the same page, they have both Rakell and Fiala signed through '27-'28.That’s because he is lol
Whoops, how did those get in there.Nah you have
Rust
Lizotte
Accari
Hallander
Pono
who can all PK.
Also the top 6 you pick up could also pk if it was someone like Marner ( I know a reach but still)
The idea that all the PK has to be in the bottom six and cant be good players is a sullivan thing that is soooooo stupid.
Im not sold on Tomasino being an offensive driver alone yet either. Not reason why you cant have two good offensive guys in your bottom 6.
I don't completely hate the idea. My big issue with it would be what @Ulf5 pointed out earlier which is if your idea is to get him to play him with Malkin well....we know that Sullivan would put Fiala directly with Sid first unless Sid completely hates playing with him.Which is why I’d rather deal him for a younger player, with higher upside that already returned Granlund and Faber + 1st.

So you're still in a situation where you need to get Malkin a winger unless you also acquire someone to put on the top line with Sid so that Sullivan doesn't get the urge to shaft Geno again.
Lol the Canucks are going to trade Miller for a bunch of crap.
Lol the Canucks are going to trade Miller for a bunch of crap.
Groulx was recalled.Hey! We have a bunch of crap!
We need to start making some player trades…we’re 8th drafting right now based on points percentage .. we need to get into the top 5 lol bc it’s clear we suck and aren’t going to be anywhere near the playoffs…
Petts is getting no better than a 2nd so start the trade process already …he’s sucking…NJ wants defense…he’d help them…trade for Nemec or a 2nd
Rakell should be gone…with cap going up, his deal looks good and cost controlled the next few seasons…I bet we could get a first for him if we take back a cap dump..
Dubas sucks, our players suck and the coach sucks most of all lol…there’s nothing positive about this organization except for some potential players in Wilkes (FSG sucks most of all too)…feel bad for Sid and G but I feel worse for them putting up with this schlock
Just keep losing then lolRumor is teams are not making trades because they want to see what happens after 4 nations (i.e. some star gets hurt and a team needs to replace him)

Completely fine with both of them staying down till the deadline, but both should probably get a look down the stretch in the top 6.3rd line, penalty killer is the worst use of McGroaty I can think of. Well I guess you could really burry him on the 4th.
Both him and Koivunen need to play in the top 6 to be successful. They need to play with other talented players they can feed off of.
Akey is a beautiful, flowing skater with plus-level mobility in all four directions and impressive balance and edges. He can transition pucks up ice, join in transition, walk the line and fall back onto his heels and edges whenever he needs to. He’s got good hands under pressure. I don’t love the term “hockey sense,” but he’s got that too and reads the game well. I like him defending the rush, where he uses his feet and stick to manage gaps and steer opposing carriers. I like the way he sees the ice and joins the offense. He can run a power play (though he might not in the NHL and probably projects as more of a five-on-five guy) and likes to make himself available as a shot option at five-on-five. He has worked to add detail and polish to his game defensively. There’s a lot to work with and it’s built upon a foundation of mobility. An illness and a trio of injuries have set him back a little after a strong start to his post-draft season last year with a good showing in his first NHL camp, and he missed more time early on this year, but Akey has looked like a top D in the OHL this season, made Team Canada for the World Juniors (though he barely played) and is a B prospect. He could become a useful, skating depth defenseman.
