WTF?!? Can't believe there's misinformation on the interwebz. What is this world coming to?

Gotcha. Gryz best seasons were still with Boston though so I dont get that comp.
His two best evs points per 60 came with Boston anyways. The only reason his numbers are up so much is because he gets 3min more a game and number 1 PP time. He has 37 career PP points. He has 10 with the penguins.
Fiala will have nowhere near the production boast Gryz has.
LOL
"Kevin Fiala is signed to a 7 year, $55,125,000 contract with a cap hit of $7,875,000 per season, currently playing for the Los Angeles Kings. His contract was signed on June 29, 2022, and expires at the end of the 2028-29 season, when Fiala will be 32 years old."
Thats a quote from Puckpedia
You sure your not looking at Devin Fiala
Rakell might return a first with the Pens going hard on retention but I doubt that the Pens are willing to do that. With low/minimal retention he probably only brings back the equivalent of a 2nd which is such a mid return that I'd probably rather keep him tbh.I mean, I’ve watched Fiala and Rakell. If you think they are comparable players that’s on you, but IMO Fiala on L2 can drive it without Malkin. He’s an incredibly talent even if he has had huge struggles in the playoffs.
He adds value now and if he pots a few 70-80 pt seasons we probably get a 1st for him.
Rakell is never returning a 1st IMO.

You’re not getting that first for 3 more years if it works out.He adds value now and if he pots a few 70-80 pt seasons we probably get a 1st for him.
Puckpedia Pens' page also says Rak signed through '27-'28 season. It says Fiala is UFA in 2029.
Rakell is UFA in 2028.

You've missed part of the conversation. On the Pens' and Kings' team home pages where they list the whole rosters' hits on the same page, they have both Rakell and Fiala signed through '27-'28.That’s because he is lol
Whoops, how did those get in there.Nah you have
Rust
Lizotte
Accari
Hallander
Pono
who can all PK.
Also the top 6 you pick up could also pk if it was someone like Marner ( I know a reach but still)
The idea that all the PK has to be in the bottom six and cant be good players is a sullivan thing that is soooooo stupid.
Im not sold on Tomasino being an offensive driver alone yet either. Not reason why you cant have two good offensive guys in your bottom 6.
I don't completely hate the idea. My big issue with it would be what @Ulf5 pointed out earlier which is if your idea is to get him to play him with Malkin well....we know that Sullivan would put Fiala directly with Sid first unless Sid completely hates playing with him.Which is why I’d rather deal him for a younger player, with higher upside that already returned Granlund and Faber + 1st.
