Andersson getting goon-esque ice time. I'd much rather he see ice than #90, #17, #26 or #16. Give him the chance to create something with NHL calibre linemates.

As much heat as I give him there’s ZERO reason not to at least be trying him with Zibanejad they had some success at worlds together and the two numbnuts they have with him now are allergic to offense.

Sorry didn't mean to come off as angry at you for posting that, but it's still true that we need to keep losing in order to get a shot at a fantastic player like that.
What a bunch of crap. Hoping we lose so we can draft higher is a garbage philosophy. There are other ways, our GM could trade up or heaven forbid, our scouts could actually do their jobs.

Scouts have nothing to do with it. Drafting outside the top 3 drastically lowers your chance of landing a generational talent. This isn't up for debate, it's a clear cut fact.

You need a team that's willing to trade down for that to be possible. This isn't a video-game.

And the scouts are doing their jobs, but you never know how a player will develop. It's a gamble.

So is the fact that it’s a draft lottery. We could finish last and still not draft first. Another clear cut fact

Smith and Pionk were the best Rangers this afternoon.

Agree with @bobbob that (especially) Namestnikov and Claesson should sit out the next one.

This narrative needs to die. It's time to grow up and become in touch with reality. Bad teams eventually win because they get the best players in the draft.

Great example is right. McDavid already has 2 scoring titles and a Hart. Let me know when Eichel does that

Individual accomplishments don't mean anything. The point is that for the Rangers it would still give them a player they desperately need. If they miss out on Hughes, but still draft in the top-5, it gives them a player they wouldn't be able to draft if they finish the season with a better record.
