How exactly is it going to haunt us? What's going to haunt us more is when we draft 9th or 10th again instead in the top 5 of this excellent draft because we won a couple of meaningless games we should have lost.
The last thing in the world this team should be doing is worrying about making the playoffs.

I understand it was a close game on the scoreboard, but I thought we were outplayed for most of the game. Maybe it was just me. The defense was horrendous and we will continue to have games like this against good teams unless Staal is sat, or at the very least limited to 3rd pairing minutes.
I thought Strome was very noticeable in this game and had my vote well deserved, but not the greatest game by our youngest prospects this evening, but it`s a learning process.
He is obviously not the problem...

He's a top 4 or 5 pick, and if we keep winning these meaningless games its not gonna matter watching him much because we won't have the opportunity to draft him.

The game yesterday I didn't really mind if we lost. This one we could've won. Got manhandled by the end. Self sabotage and annoying as shit, IMO. I agree with Quinn's response this interview.
Slightly OT, I f***ing love his pressers. He's to the point and he does give insight, not just some stupid crap or crowd pleasing sentences. I still think they're trying to see who responds best when put into the lineup/pairings and situations. Don't particularly have an explanation for Staal/Pionk because it's really bad and they should not be on the ice at the same time at all.
Great play by Washington, trying to pin that on Georgiev is a stretch. This game could have easily been out of hand if it wasn't for him. Defense was an abomination today.

I imagine within a year or 2 we will possibly see this. However, that requires other defensemen in the system to not yield shots and attempts every 3 and a half nanoseconds or for us to find some outside of the system and bring them in
