So what is today big rumors
latest I'm hearing is that the Bruins are going to spring for leg extension surgery to get Grzelcyk over 6'3. Since it's a medical procedure it doesn't count against the cap and he'd only be out 6-8 weeks, during which time they'll be pumping him full of steroids and cheeseburgers so that he's ready for the rigors of the NHL playoffs. Best part is they don't even have to give up roster assets to make it all work.

I know it has to be said every other page but the cap exists folks. Lucic ain’t coming here, even if we would love to have him on the 4th line

It’s a pipe dream that we shouldn’t bother entertaining.

It's better to dream than to not.

Plus, we're all bored and missing the games so let us dream impossible dreams!

He’s never fought Reaves.

Erskine & Orr notably broke his face.

McQuaid was never really a HW, Reaves thumped him pretty badly at the end of his career
Maybe getting rhe fighters crossed up lol

Did Looch lose to Laroque?

Did Looch fight Orr ans Erskine only one time each?

Trade Gryz for Looch. Cap almost fits perfectly. He fights hits skates and can score goals with Krejci. Get it done. Wont cost much more than gryz. Maybe Gryz and a third?

The Chicago Blackhawks have several trade candidates like Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, and Max Domi as we gear up to the 2023 NHL Trade Deadline. However, even with this being the case, they also have an immensely underrated trade target in Sam Lafferty. As a result, interest in his services is starting to increase. NHL insider Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff has now reported that the Boston Bruins could be a possible landing spot for the Lafferty.

f you're looking for a player who may bring a surprising return at the Deadline, it might be forward Sam Lafferty. Speed to burn. Quality penalty killer. Term on contract. Inexpensive cap hit. The Hawks have mined a diamond in the rough:

Seravalli noted that the Bruins could look to bring in Lafferty as a potential option to replace Tomas Nosek while he is sidelined due to injury. Yet, even when Nosek returns, Lafferty could still be in the running to be a mainstay in Boston's lineup if acquired. Craig Smith and A.J. Greer have had their struggles on the fourth line this year, so Lafferty could be an upgrade over them at fourth-line right wing.

I do think they move him this year. True his AAV is great for a player his capabilities.

But I think the last 2 years of balloon payments , back loaded contract, may be unpalatable for the Yotes. Just my opinion.

Omg I didn’t even realize how it was constructed. Perfect for a team with deep pockets. Does that lower his value a smidge? He will be moved also because he makes their team better and they trying to get worse to get Bedard I assume. Seems to be a trend.

@DominicT I notice lately I've been having lower back pain when I wake up in the morning. Should I be doing more stretching and drinking more water?

I'll hang up and listen thanks.
Poor Dom is overwhelmed with requests right now. So he asked me to get back to you for him. He says more prunes and a hot compress and you are good to go.

He also said the deal for Chykrun (sp — mine, not his) is almost …..

Oh wait. My dog wants to come in. Be right back.

Heres my trade proposals:

Boston gets
Andrew peeke

Columbus gets
Matt grzcelyk
Frederic brunet

Boston gets bigger younger cheaper under longer deal on back end.

Columbus gets a vet and a prospect having a good year. (Boston saves close to 3M On cap for this year). Columbus does this trade because it gives them a replacement level player to peeke in grzcelyk with a long term more team controlled dman with high upside in brunet who will be a pro as grizz contract runs out.

Boston gets more size for a tough playoff series and a potential shut down pair with forbort or carlo. Also a long term bottom 4 lhd who can kill penalties and provide some offense as well.

Trade 2:
Boston gets jakub chychrun

Arizona gets
1st
Lohrei
C. Smith
Zboril

Boston solidifies itself as best d core for long and short term as the c depth long term is looking modest they decide to go all in this year and adopt the “center poor, d strong” approach that worked for nashville a decade ago as a long term plan. Trades a first a upside d in vaakananiens mold in zboril, the big lohrei dman who you dont need with 3 dmen now signed long term from the left side and all resignable.

Trade 3

Boston gets pat kane (50% retained)
2nd

Chi gets jake debrusk
2nd

Pick swaps benefit boston as debrusks contract situation is better than kanes and chicago can grow with him on the wing as he fits the age to be apart of their long term plan. Also brings some playoff experience for what will be a young team once toews and kane leave.

Boston now a juggernaut for this season and defense is locked in for the next half decade.
