So Schenn fits that description.

A guy who going stay in his lane, play extremely physical, and be a guy who makes the opposition pay a price to retrieve the puck and play low/on the wall over seven games. Not saying its perfect, but its an element that the Bruins, who get beat up (not fighting) and broken down over a heavy series, need to add to their roster IMHO.

On the forward front...

Domi
Bonino
Acciari
JVR

Wishful thinking Meier but the cost and his contract would not work with Pasta's...
What about a guy like Kulikov?(tho i imagine for him to be worth it for bruins, theyd need double retention on him)

I also imagine a guy like Henrique might be on bruins' radar, get 2 runs with him... not someone who is going to break the bank(as far as trade assets go) , and if you can get him with retention/send back cap to make it work could be a solid add. He kills penalties and wins face offs, and plays good down the middle in your top 9, or can play both wings comfortably in your top 9

Why would Grzelcyk have to be moved in order to obtain Chychrun? Can't Grzelcyk or Forbort play on their offside?

Adding Chychrun would be sick, but I'm not sure who they're moving as part of the package or a separate deal, meaning Gryz or Forbort or Reilly. If it's Reilly, you're likely giving up 1st + Lysell +Beacher +??? just to attach him and his extra year. You then likely have to trade one of Forbort or Gryz in the off season as well. A top 4 of Lindholm-McAvoy and Chychrun-Carlo is absolutely filthy, as someone above alluded to. Not sure we need him though if that's the going price.

I really want Toewes here as our 4C.
Tarasenko as 3RW
I think our D is fine.

Marchy-Bergy-Debrusk
Zacha-Krejci-Pasta
Hall-Coyle-Tarasenko
Foligno-Toewes-Frederic
Nosek/Lauko

Out in some sort of deals are Reilly, Smith, 1st 2024, Kinkaid, Steen, 3rd rounder 2023, Ahcan
I like Tarasenko, but would prefer Meier, if we can work out a deal without that $10m QO involved.

I like Chchyrun, but I think Gavrikov would be a lot cheaper to acquire and can give you some of what Chchyrun does and maybe you can sign him to a decent deal, Grizz + Beecher possibly goes the other way. Then add some depth like Bortuzzo on D and Lafferty at Forward, then you can go for it if you think it is worth it for a guy like Meier, for Smith+20231st+Lohrei,

In - Toews @ 75% retained, Chychrun = 2.625M + 4.6M = 7,225,000M coming in
Out - Smith, 1st, Lohrei, Beecher, Lauko, Grizz = 3.1M + 3,687,500 = 6,787,500 going out

This equals to the bruins paying just 437,500 more.

Imagine

Chychrun - Mcavoy
Lindholm - Clifton
Forbort - Carlo

WOW
There we go. Putting Clifton on the second pairing again.

All I know is that if Lysell and/or Lohrei and a first are going out, they'd darn sure better win the cup.
Prepare the riot gear homie.

This is the move I am pounding the table for. He is the lone bright spot on a putrid (but promising in the future) roster.

All we need is some retention on the contract.

That Carolina cap space with Patches on LTIR is really terrifying. We gotta watch them trade for a few heavy heavy guns.
I suppose but I`m one who subscribes to the notion that those teams who make the most noise at the deadlines are more often than not, playing golf without having celebrated a cup win

I feel teams who make the quiet, subtle changes to add some depth do themselves more of a favor

I`d like a Gavrikov and Barbashev addition

No

Especially Forby

Grz is also not a good matchup against heavier bottom 6 (playoffs). Samuel Girard almost lost his head in the playoffs

yep he’d be a really good Swiss Army knife type move, and the 2nd year is nice. When I watch bruins I think Henrique is an excellent roster fit… obviously there’s better options out there but cap/trade cost might make it almost impossible to manage

Even with full retention, that $2.9M extra year is a killer. Non-starter to me given the team's cap situation next year.
