This is Pittsburgh, strange things happen often, ERod fell off a cliff for the last 20 games.Erod would be our 3rd leading scorer.

How about this, though? Marino for Miller (50%), Bjork (50%) OR Ruotsalainen (both older players that would cost the same as an ELC) and one of the Vegas or Florida 1sts (whichever is better) OR Johnson.
Or the pick, Johnson and the same conditions on Bjork or R2 for Marino and Angello?
He is a fun guyWhy would they want Bjork? He's negative value, even at 50%.
Keep hearing that expression from Sabre fans and keep seeing the team put appreciably worse players than those so described on the ice.
Ruhwedelwas in buffalo last in 15-16 season. I’m sure on buffalo his stats would have been trash and his career over…..

Still, I think Power might need a mentor early on.Defensive pair data from the last 3 games (since Jokiharju got injured):

I get the small sample size, but I'm already ready to declare Bryson as a viable top 4 option on the right side. His quick feet make up for so much of the challenges of playing on your off-hand side.
Deciding whether I like Bryson with Samuelsson or Dahlin better is probably going to become my next obsession. For the next step when Joker comes back, they'll have to see how he looks with Samuelsson in a defensive deployment. But if the youth continues to progress (that's a big if), the current pieces may be a viable defensive starting point:
Dahlin-Bryson
Samuelsson-Jokiharju
Power-Fitzgerald

And the point remains, they're better than guys who have been here in those years since.
Is UPL a lost cause?
He's played pretty well in Rochester of late, but they have a lot of injuries and are singing guys from Cin and the street in front of him. I think the Sabres keep him there until the trade deadline if not past it if they do not move Anderson unless they play well consistently. Is UPL a lost cause?
Based on the xGF%, it looks like we should declare whoever is on the right side of Samuelsson is top 4Defensive pair data from the last 3 games (since Jokiharju got injured):

This Vegas pick is not yet clear where it will be, and I'm not sure I want to pick Jack Hughes in the first round.ROR (C) + Eichel (C) = Thompson (C/W) + Krebs (C/W) + Tuch (W) + Johnson (LD) + Jack Hughes the lesser (C) with the 2021 21st pick
Two #1 centers for basically an entire second line (fringe 1st line) plus a #4/5 D, plus a 3C. Is that it? I'm ignoring the spare change, any 2nd or 3rds.

I understand, it's just that in theory, Vegas might not make the playoffs, and then their pick could be very good. There will be a big difference between a guy like Jack Hughes and players from #10 to #20.That was just a placeholder. I REALLY like him, but I'm not a scout, I'll be fine with a lot of guys there.
A lot of people are looking for our long term Hecht and he's a candidate for that role who I like.

This was unexpected. I hope you didn't have Tyler Boucher at #10.I actually have Jack right in that range. I'd take him in the 10-15 range.
