I hear everyone celebrating. I can see you are happy.
Hinostroza- Jankowski - Hayden
No Eakin or Bjork.

you will have Quinn available soon as well for L3 and PP2.I'd be happier if this was a line in a game, not just practice. I fear whatever kept Eakin out is just for practice and he'll slide in for Jankowski tomorrow.

Agreed, however, Dahlin was paired with all of the other defense-men and he made them all look good. The interesting thing is Brännström actually looked good without Dahlin too. None of the other defense-men did if I recall correctly. Especially Liljegren who looked downright horrendous without Dahlin.
In the Dahlin - Brännström pairing Dahlin was usually "stay home" while Brännström was the aggressive one. They were fun to watch and by far the best pairing of the tournament. I think the pairing with "perky" Bryson is worth investigating.
That's a harsh punishment...to ChinaEakin to Kunlun Red Star E4.
I still think Jokiharju is a way way better defenseman than Risto will ever be. Him and Dahlin has worked well previously I think (at least of the games I've seen). I am kind of smitten with Bryson though. It is going to be interesting to see what the pairings look like when they bring Power up at the end of the season.
Would a KHL team getting Eakin be akin to a sanction? That's a harsh punishment...to China![]()

There were a lot of people that liked to use charts to show how bad Risto was

Just sayin...
I had high hopes for Jokiharju in the past, but his progression has been anything but linear. In a season where many of our young kids are showing tremendous promise he has taken a step back.
I still think he does a lot of things well, but his play this season has me resetting some of my expectations, or at the very least re-evaluating his dependence on the right type of partner to get the most out of him.
Joker and Dahlin are a couple young players trying to define themselves. It's difficult for them to play off each other when they can't consistently read one another. It's a work in progress. I think it's worth pursuing longer. The easy solution is to pair Dahlin with a steady stay at home unimaginative plug. But if things work out with him and Joker the reward will be great.Part of why they could still have high hopes for Joki is because they knew they threw him into the deep end very early, hoping that he'll eventually learn to swim because he has so much potential.
But has he been noticably improving? If he's plataued, it's definitely time to alter the plan. If they're still seeing noticable imprvement, I don't mind them sticking with him there until it clicks for him.
Yeap, what I'm talking about, Joki looks bad and people overestimate him, probably because we just managed to trade Nylander for him. There were a lot of people that liked to use charts to show how bad Risto was

Sources say Yzerman has talked to rival general managers about veteran defensemen with term left on their contracts.
Montreal Canadiens defenseman Jeff Petry, son of former Detroit Tigers player and current broadcaster Dan Petry, is available.
Vancouver’s Tyler Myers is another defenseman that could be dealt.
They seem to have Seider and Hronek in the top 4 on RD, they will probably look for LD. Not sure if Petry or Myers are good options for Buffalo. Adams needs to understand what kind of RD he needs.Sabres will have competition looking for defensemen next season.
