Looks like they are splitting their faceoffs between Schefiele, Copp, Dubois, and Lowry, with Lowry taking the most of them. Dubois is terrible at faceoffs though.

Copp is definitely a center though, and he would be on this team.
I know he's a center, but if he can also play LW that would be an added bonus.

I wouldn't be against moving out Olofsson this summer
Olofsson might be redundant if we could replace him with a player who is good at 5v5 and maybe even physical.
Rivet asked Elliotte Friedman: "Biggest surprise trade from Buffalo?" (talking about trade deadline)

EF: "Is Olofsson considered a surprise?"

EF also added: "Ask your old teammate."

Peters: "Who's that?"

EF: "Drury"
"I can see the Rangers being around a guy like Olofsson."

Interesting. Of course Schneider is untouchable. Lundkvist? Kravtsov? Chytil?

Probably Lundkvist makes a lot of sense

The Rangers? I wonder if Lundqvist is available.....or Schneider. With Fox and Trouba locked long term into their top 2 RD slots, could make some for them to shop their RD depth.

I think Schneider no, Lundkvist yes.

Was it on today's podcast?

Lundqvist is Swedish for Laaksonen. Schneider would be ideal but he's really doing well in the NHL already.
I'm a little higher on Lundkvist than on Laaksonen. I think it could be Lundkvist+ or Kravtsov+, or maybe just 1st.

He has VO at 12.

Rangers also looking to trade Georgiev but want a veteran in return.

I know many here don't like Georgiev. But we do need an upgrade. I'm not sure Rangers are looking for a rental, but Anderson isn't playing good enough yet for teams to want him at the deadline.

I'm sure that made Rivet happy. He's had a hate-chub for Olofsson for the entire time VO has been on the team.

Rivet: "That is the guy I was actually thinking of, because if he's still on this team after trade deadline......."

Most people here hate Eakin and Bjork. But are players like Oloffson and Asplund helping us win?

Eakin and Bjork are actively hurting them.

Asplund is one of the few guys who have good defensive metrics. We know that Olofsson as the F3 with two traditional forecheckers can work... I'm sure the Rangers would know that too and that the Rangers can put him in that position to succeed.

But Anderson is a vet, wouldn't be relied upon....and has this absolutely crazy playoff history.

Anderson, Olofsson plus for Schneider and Georgiev. I'd add a pretty solid plus to snag Schneider out of NY.......even one of the lower 1sts we've got.

Laf is a bust and a negative influence in NY. Drury should really look to unload him for a more experienced winger

For the off season I hope the Sabres at least re-sign Pysyk and bring back Johan to reunite LOG. They are two players that put up really good defensive metrics despite playing difficult roles on bottom feeding teams. Unless either of them doesn't want to be in Buffalo, they shouldn't be too expensive for us to sign them at a slight overpay for two years.

I don't know how anyone could take that seriously coming from Friedman after all his Eichel garbage. Just because NYR wants something doesn't mean they get to have it.
