21/22 Roster Speculation Thread Part VIII

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Might take a half a season to hit on all cylinders, but being able to have 3 solid pairs all game long is something we haven't seen in a very very very long time.
 
What is the problem people have to trade for Connor Murphy? I think Murphy and Matt Roy are two of the best targets for Buffalo if they want to find a top 4 RD who can play defensively and play the physical game.

I think Mitts (1/2 retained) plus one of the low 1sts will be a very competitive offer for Fiala (and McBain). It makes sense for Minny (top 6 young center who can play with experienced wings for 2 seasons at 1.25 million).

Fiala - Thompson - Quinn
Olofsson - Krebs - Tuch
Skinner - Cozens - Hinostroza
Asplund - Larsson - Okposo
Girgensons

Keep Peterka down, no hurry. With McBain and Murray there are replacements the next season for Kyle and Z.

Husso for 2 seasons.

Husso/UPL/Houser/Dell/Levi as our organizational goalies

Take what they can get at the deadline for UFA's who aren't in their plans. And if it's a mid-to-late round pick for Hagg, so be it.

When has he ever "protected the up and comers"? Like... physically? Hagg??

If its buyout friendly you could get out of the last two years of the deal with 2M dead cap for 4 years. So think of it as a 4 year, 24M deal with 2M dead cap for 4 years after.

I wanna be a real team. No interest in dead space. We have enough to navigate with skinner. Manson would be great but he's not worth talking dead cap space over...theres no way he is the piece that puts us over the edge that we convince an owner or GM to say yeah we can punt a few mill down the road for Manson in dead cap space. It's not rational at all. 4x 4 give or take and I support it. 6x6 is absolutely nuts idc how you spread the money out. and again I want Manson very badly.

Hagg prevents nothing. You must’ve missed Stamkos offering Cozens chin music earlier in the year.

What has changed of late? Guys like Cozens and Dahlin dishing it back. But Hagg? :biglaugh: No.
 
Copp remains top of my UFA wish list. Easily give him the Danault contract +. He will be able to transition down to a 3rd and 4th line center as the contract goes on.

I still think we lack the high end talent, but i think that's two scoring lines and a two way line. Have A mix of Girgensons/Asplund/Okposo whoever help with the heavy lifting.
