Examples ? If I'm wrong, I'll admit it.

I conceded that he had not refused the CHL's offer but refused to ask for exceptional status (which amounts to the same thing since all honest-minded people know that he would have obtained)
QMAAA has never been closed to anybody. You just make stuff up lol

QMAAA only exceptionally accept U15 players since 2022/23.

This is what a guy on the forum said (and I took precautions about this), this is what is mentioned in the article in the previous message that I just edited, this is what declared Yannick Levesque on RDS and it is quite simply a fact : he is the only U15 player to have played in QMAAA since 2022.

Its a strong birth year for Americans. Pelosi has been the class of the birth year for Americans for a few years now, but there are guys pretty close to him now
If a guy doesn't pull away, he's not that strong.

It's difficult to assess the level of the American U15s when they only play among themselves. It is against global adversity that this will be revealed.

They are 14-15 years old. A lot is going to change. I don’t comment on European play because I have barely seen any of them play. Similar to you barely seeing anyone in NA play. You stat watch on eliteprospects and make your decisions based on that

I know that you base yourself on US Bantam statistics but precisely, in the American context there is no statistical benchmark and in the game it is very difficult to assess what the player is really worth on a global scale . Even on an American scale, it is very complicated.

I can’t comprehend what you are trying to say. But the top American and Canadian kids play with and against eachother all the time throughout the whole year

Not all Canadians, far from it, not the best, far from it, and in bantam U15, in very expanded tournaments.

You are simply wrong. Just last summer Dupont was playing in the CCM 68s with a bunch of the top 09’s, in fact he wasn’t the most impressive player there. And Joseph was playing with Pro Hockey at Kings of Spring in Nashville playing with and against all the top 09’s

We had already talked about it, I don't have a short memory.

These are showcases over 3 days. So a few games. Joseph played this tournament in 2022/3 as an U14. Dupont was here during a summer tournament last year.

At this point (draft - 3), it's just about taking a guy who is exceptional in his region and making him a top 5 contender in the world.

So just one American. Not several. There may be years when no American stands out in Bantam.

Obviously we will be very far from the top 5 draft and even more redraft. But in this case, we can close the topic.

Because it was impossible to predict that Levshunov, Sennecke and Lindstrom would be selected top 5 last year.

I don't know Cam Warren but that would surprise me.

James Scantlebury, I don't see him being on Joseph's level.

For the top 5, I'm expecting 2 Europeans. The top 5 with 5 NA is over (this has only happened twice since 2009) and it will only happen once or twice in the future. Maybe never.
I don't know why you'd be expecting 2 Europeans so far out and sure all of the top 5 from NA will be rare but some years are possible as are some with 4.

Take for example this year with 6 of the top 8 guys being form NA and sure Demidov was a top 5 talent, Levshunov easily could have fallen out of the top 5 especially if he hadn't crossed the ocean in for the last 2 seasons.

Which players from Europe are on your radar for top 5 potential for 27?

Something tells me that the banned mr. Statistics are running rampant here again
I've been looking forward to hearing some interesting names here for a few days now and I'm not really seeing anything at all:laugh:

This is an average for the last decade while the phenomenon of Europeanization of the league is ascendant with records regularly broken. So if 2024 was a very North American year in the top 10 with 7 players, you can expect that in a year to come, there will be 6 Europeans in the top 10.

We don't know any Russian U15s or even U16s. Even Swedes like Leo Carlsson, we don't really know what it's worth until the last season.

It's just an unknown that we have to take into account. Top 5 Canadian or American, that does not mean Top 5 World. From 2027 NHL Draft, 40 to 50% of the players who will have an NHL career will be European. According to trends of recent years.

Still not digested the non-selection of Tomas Galvas and the selection of Dominik Badinka as 34th.
You should mobilize your pride to find yourself a girlfriend, the Czech demographic needs it.

However, it is certain that we cannot count on you. You were completely incompetent in evaluating Czech U18 prospects. I had to do the work for you.

Lol so again, I was right and you were wrong and now you are just back tracking. Opinions are fine on this site but you blatantly have no idea what you are talking about

We had already talked about it and you know it very well so I find you very dishonest on this point.

Canadians like Dupont and Joseph play a 3-day showcase a year against Americans. Often during breaks and with a fun state of mind.

Sportingly, it's worthless. And even if I followed your argument by relying on this showcase, it clearly demonstrates that Joseph is crushing American bantam hockey. So if no American other than Pelosi managed to compete with him in this showcase, considering that since then, Joseph had a huge U15 season compared to his U14 season, I think you can currently rank all the best Americans behind him .

For me, the best American (Pelosi?) is really the 3rd North American guy to complete a top 5 in the world currently.

So my current top 5 is :

NA
1 L.Dupont
2 A.Joseph
3 R.Pelosi
+ best russian (unknown)
+ best european (unknown)

So now its turned into you saying “no they have never and will never play against eachother” into “well they do actually play against eachother but the games don’t matter”, which is super far from the truth as the summer events are more heavily scouted than in-season. Pelosi is 18th in scoring at the dev camp right now so clearly there are quite a few americans that can hold their own with him. It isn’t as clear cut as you are making it out to be. Joseph is a man child, Dupont doesn’t play defense and will never be ridiculed because his dad is on the bench. All these kids have warts, theres no Mcdavid here

"It's difficult to assess the level of the American U15s when they only play among themselves. It is against global adversity that this will be revealed."

So, how do you compare the Bantam Americans against the Russians, the Europeans, the Canadians that played midget to say that this is a stronger generation than usual ? We don't even know what the 2008 even 2007 generation is worth.

These are bantam tournaments for fun, not selection camps. Besides, what selections ? The guys were 13-14 years old and no deadlines coming up. Since then, these summer showcases who are starting to date, Dupont and Joseph have played in Midget. QMAAA not exactly a kid's league. It is the antechamber of the QMJHL and a league that is looking to age according to Yannick Levesque.

It's funny to see you change the narrative. You're the one who sold me Pelosi as the best American.

Whatever happens, no, you will not have 5 Americans in the top 5 of the 2027 draft.

I heard the manchild argument on Byfield and we saw what happened next. Dupont, I think the CHL knows when it grants him exceptional status.

McDavid there is only one in his style. If we are talking about a top 5 U15, we are obliged to put Dupont and Joseph in the top 5 even taking into account the unknowns elsewhere. These are the 2 best Canadian U15s, it's a sporting fact. Obviously that will probably change but, currently, that's how it is.

1. I never compared any of the US or Canadian kids to anyone in Europe. I openly admitted that I don’t watch them therefore have no input. The same as you have never watched any of the North Americans play.

2. I’m not sure what you are saying here. The QMAAA is not a strong league. Again these u18 leagues are full of kids who don’t play hockey past the age of 18. Few go on to play in the CHL, some junior A, and most junior B or C. If you are 17 years old playing u18 hockey it means you aren’t good enough to play junior hockey.

3. Pelosi as it stands today is probably the #1 american. My point was that things change rapidly at this age. Kids grow, kids plateau. Happens in every age group. At 14-15 years old John McFarland, Seth Ambroz, Cam Askew, Jake Wise were the best players in the world.

4. I literally never claimed the top 5 would be all americans in tbe 2027 draft. Again I don’t know where you make this stuff up.

5. There have been far more man childs that have flopped than that have panned out. CHL gave exceptional status to Sean Day and Joe Veleno, so no they are not always right.

1. I initially corrected you on the fact that you said that the 2009 American generation was very strong. But to say that, you have to get elements of comparison that you don't have. Obviously the best American bantams appear very strong in the American bantam because they are the best. But from a global perspective, you don't know if this generation is very strong or not compared to usual.

I don't make a life out of watching youth tournaments. Although I've still been watching The Brick since last year.

2. Not a strong league, the QMAAA ?!? Man, it's a league that brings all the best U16 Q players on just 15 teams, all of the best U17s except the top 30 and U18s who haven't graduated in QMJHL. Every year, their representatives dominate the Telus Cup. Midget level, it is a North American reference. For a bantam player like Joseph was, this is a huge level.

3. I'm just telling you that to make a top 5 in the world, I am only considering one potential American at this stage. Always said on this site, that I did not make a deep estimate in the USA before the U17 season. I just remember one U15 guy per year in my head like Eiserman 3 years ago. And not every year. It's because of you that I kept Pelosi on the top bantam list. I trusted you. Now you are changing your speech because Alexis Joseph is making you tense, it's not fair play.

4. You challenge the fact that Dupont, Joseph and 2 Europeans can be estimated next to the best American in a world top 5 so, it comes down to that.

5. It's starting to date and these two players are not disgusting either (Veleno is still 21st in point production in his promotion at draft +6).

The recent ones have given Wright, Bedard, Misa. Savoie was refused. Dupont is already too strong for its U18 league. Joseph has already been named to the league's 2nd All-Star team, 6th PPG in the regular season and 2nd PPG in the playoffs. These are superior references to Day and Veleno.

Agreed completely, Joseph is extremely talented but he is very mature for his age and does dominate because of his physical giftsx as he grows older and other kids catch up, my guess is his development will stall in comparison to his peers.

In the QMJHL draft podcasts, specialists rightly say that he is still too frail. It's not because you're tall that you play physical.

In proportion to his age category, he dominates more and more. His performances weren't crazy in atome and during his pee wee period he was far behind Scantlebury and Horvat-Edouard. He exploded at the Q Pee Wee tournament in 2022, took the Q lead in 2022-23 and had the best U15 Q performance in 2023-24.

So it's curious that you say that when his progression curve was very vertical last year.

QMAAA not exactly a kid's league. It is the antechamber of the QMJHL and a league that is looking to age according to Yannick Levesque.
As is the CSSHL for the W and the OMHA/GTHL for the OHL, what’s your point? And of course Yannick Lévesque is going to have a high opinion of that league, seeing as he is the PRESIDENT of it😂

Your efforts are noble but I think you should stick to leagues you understand, because you’ve managed to make a debauchery of your analysis of how different North American minor hockey leagues work, your points of reference are wayyyyy off.

Also, antichambre is like waiting room/developmental league I think you mean
