1. I never compared any of the US or Canadian kids to anyone in Europe. I openly admitted that I don’t watch them therefore have no input. The same as you have never watched any of the North Americans play.
2. I’m not sure what you are saying here. The QMAAA is not a strong league. Again these u18 leagues are full of kids who don’t play hockey past the age of 18. Few go on to play in the CHL, some junior A, and most junior B or C. If you are 17 years old playing u18 hockey it means you aren’t good enough to play junior hockey.
3. Pelosi as it stands today is probably the #1 american. My point was that things change rapidly at this age. Kids grow, kids plateau. Happens in every age group. At 14-15 years old John McFarland, Seth Ambroz, Cam Askew, Jake Wise were the best players in the world.
4. I literally never claimed the top 5 would be all americans in tbe 2027 draft. Again I don’t know where you make this stuff up.
5. There have been far more man childs that have flopped than that have panned out. CHL gave exceptional status to Sean Day and Joe Veleno, so no they are not always right.
1. I initially corrected you on the fact that you said that the 2009 American generation was very strong. But to say that, you have to get elements of comparison that you don't have. Obviously the best American bantams appear very strong in the American bantam because they are the best. But from a global perspective, you don't know if this generation is very strong or not compared to usual.
I don't make a life out of watching youth tournaments. Although I've still been watching The Brick since last year.
2. Not a strong league, the QMAAA ?!? Man, it's a league that brings all the best U16 Q players on just 15 teams, all of the best U17s except the top 30 and U18s who haven't graduated in QMJHL. Every year, their representatives dominate the Telus Cup. Midget level, it is a North American reference. For a bantam player like Joseph was, this is a huge level.
3. I'm just telling you that to make a top 5 in the world, I am only considering one potential American at this stage. Always said on this site, that I did not make a deep estimate in the USA before the U17 season. I just remember one U15 guy per year in my head like Eiserman 3 years ago. And not every year. It's because of you that I kept Pelosi on the top bantam list. I trusted you. Now you are changing your speech because Alexis Joseph is making you tense, it's not fair play.
4. You challenge the fact that Dupont, Joseph and 2 Europeans can be estimated next to the best American in a world top 5 so, it comes down to that.
5. It's starting to date and these two players are not disgusting either (Veleno is still 21st in point production in his promotion at draft +6).
The recent ones have given Wright, Bedard, Misa. Savoie was refused. Dupont is already too strong for its U18 league. Joseph has already been named to the league's 2nd All-Star team, 6th PPG in the regular season and 2nd PPG in the playoffs. These are superior references to Day and Veleno.
