This should be their “ tryout “ . Play well and you might be with us . If not , we move on . If Carlo , Coyle and Frederic had played better this year maybe they would still be on the team .

Thid is the most honest, transparent and trustworthy Don Sweeney press conference I have ever seen.
No word salad.
I would even, surprise,
allow Sweeney to manage what is obviously a hybrid rebuild.
Not a retool. A rebuild.
Without burning down the house, unnecessary in any case.
Full marks.
I have new respect for Don Sweeney as a manager.
Bitch about the nebulous Marchand return, but both sides negotiated from the beginning of season.
Bringing back Brad wasn't in the cards for several reasons.
He will always be a Boston Bruin to me.
I am pleasantly surprised and perfectly content with the moves made today.

Remember that every other club benefits from the new cap reality in the summer as well. The Bruins will not be able to make moves in a vacuum.
However, my understanding is that they're going to have plenty to play with.

Easy, it’s not Christmas lol it’s more like he bought seeds and now they need to be planted and watered and see what sprouts up. Could be roses, could be weeds. But it all starts with the seeds which I am happy for (excluding the NHLers they picked up)
