With three top 5 picks, we've used two on wingers and one on a D. Ideally we would have drafted a center by now who could supplant Suzuki... or at least be a Suzuki equivalent.

Demidov and Slaf should eventually push Caufield down as a secondary option which really helps on the wings.

Hagens, Frondell, Misa, McQueen and Ryabkin are some C options if we're going to suck again this year. Not sure which of them project more as NHL wingers than centers though.
We didn't really get a chance at one at the draft , I prefer Slaf over Cooley so you can't blame them for that one , not sure why the fanbase thought 3 top picks was enough , teams usually need more than that at least a few top 10s sprinkled in there

We have Hage in the system who can really develop into something for the top 6, he has the talent. But yeah, ideally we should need another who could take the 1C spot.

McQueen reminds me a lot of a young Eric Staal.

I think he has a much better feel for the game than your typical "big man dominating junior competition" types and I appreciate his desire to play through the middle and drive the net with great timing.

My early impression is this is going to be another Brady Tkachuk type situation where his lack of dynamic or explosive tools gets overly scrutinized and his translatability gets underappreciated.

Big player with skills and doesn’t shy from the physical play are awesome.
It's been a very long time since I've seen a 16 years old already looking this big physically in the OHL, maybe as far back as Pronger and Lindros. He has to be 230 right now, easy. Just a massive kid.

All the GM are already salivating at the idea of adding this monster into their top 6.

If Dach pans out just the idea of Belchetz - Dach - Demidov is crazy
