I'm with you. As much as I like Hagens, Martone has all the tools PLUS the size PLUS the "it" factor. I'm also leaning toward him.If I had 1st overall today, I'm taking Porter Martone.
Schaefer is also a year younger than Martone and one of the youngest players in the class.I'm with you. As much as I like Hagens, Martone has all the tools PLUS the size PLUS the "it" factor. I'm also leaning toward him.
I also won't be surprised if Schaefer ultimately ends up higher (than Hagens) on my board. I'm a huge believer.
Me too honestly, I've loved his game every time I've seen him playIf I had 1st overall today, I'm taking Porter Martone.
If Hensler has good year fit in nicely as our #1 RDWell! Ill keep an eye on Hensler thats for sure
McQueen be gone when we pick.McQueen looking real good for where the Habs could realistically pick. Someone who can actually put pucks in the net.
He's going to make a legit argument for 1st overall IMO, there's no way he's even outside the top 3 when all is said and done. A guy that big with actual puck skills is just too rare, scouts won't want to pass on him. While y'all posting soliloquies about Martone, I decided to watch him closely in the first period.
I'll have to chant the choir. Have a hard time seeing him as anything less than a top 5 pick.

Elite Prospects released their initial top-32 today.
Here's the top 10:
1. James Hagens
2. Roger McQueen
3. Michael Misa
4. Matthew Schaefer
5. Porter Martone
6. Malcolm Spence
7. Jackson Smith
8. Victor Eklund
9. Lynden Lakovic
10. Braeden Cootes
Of note: Desnoyers (11), Ryabkin (12), Frondell (15), Ravensbergen (20)
Blake Fiddle numbers look interesting. A 6'4 right shot D. July birthday, kinda late , these kind mature later, should have good upsideFor those who are curious about the rest of the 1st round, this is the rankings.

A lot of BIG BOYS in this upcoming draft, and then you have Cameron Schmidt (#13) at 5’8, 152 lbs.
What did that batch of kids eat?For those who are curious about the rest of the 1st round, this is the rankings.

Hoping this video series does well for Hockeyprospect. Brad Allen is great at describing what he's seeing in a way that goes beyond "BIG FAST SKILLED."
I find their early views on Misa matches mine as well; I see the elements of an elite skillset but I don't really see a lot of bull by the horns dominance in his game ATM. Feels like he's holding back a lot.
I have only seen 1 game and even if he scored 4g I don’t see how McQueen is ahead of Martone.Early top 10. A lot of guys I haven't seen really seen yet.
Will be interesting to watch the D class this year and see who emerges as there appears to be a cliff after Schaefer/Hensler.
