Oh boy please, can we refrain from normalizing the idea of Pavelski or Marleau in the Hall of Fame? There are enough of these guys in where their names just keep getting repeated until we just assume that they were always superstars all along.

I would not induct either

who would go in with Thornton, Keith if he makes it, and chara if they don't hold Chara back cuz of his buddy beregeron going in, in a couple years, if chara or Keith one or the other don't make it I'd induct CuJo and maybe either theoren fleury or Alexander mogilny and if not them than Ryan Miller or pekka rinne. 2027 for me at least it be Bergeron, Chara, mogilny, and pekka rinne and or Chris osgood.

And I meant Bergeron, mogilny, or fleury, Chara and either Osgood or rinne for the 2026 class.

Any high-profile sports "Hall of Fame" ("fame" being a silly misnomer copied from Cooperstown) should enshrine only legends of the game. The fact that Chris Osgood's name has come up effectively demonstrates how the Hall of Fame committees have collectively failed.

Hey panther you realize Osgood is one of 13 goalies to have 400 plus wins look at half the goalies that are above him funr, esposito, hall guys had hall of famers playing in front of them every night honestly the whole this goalie is only good cuz he has a great blue line that's a common myth look at brodeur he had hall of famers playing in front of him every night same with roy. Fleury only in Pittsburgh he had hall of famers in front of him. It's a common myth CuJo didn't have stacked teams in front of him only in St. Louis and detroit he had hall of famers in front of him.

he won back to back Vezina with all those hall of famers:

List:
.....

Maybe Elias will get in one day, but we should not overblow it, his defense core by order of minutes played during those 2 seasons

Paul Martin
Johnny Oduya
Colin White
Brian Rafalsky
Mike Mottoau
Brad Lukowich
Anddy Greene

He did lead the league in wins, save percentage, saves made, shoutout and GAA behind that perfectly fine but nothing special group:

During that time Brodeur replacment (weekes-Clemmensen) on that same squad had below .900 goaltending, not large sample size considering how much Brodeur played, but going into the directiont that they were just a good but normal team by that point, without Brodeur with just a 16-20th best starter level goaltender in net would they have been a top 10 team in the league ?, maybe, maybe not, they had the second worst offense in the nhl.

Brodeur had a lot of success post Daneyko-Scott Stevens retirement, Nierdermayer going to the Ducks and Lemaire leaving, I think many would agree enough to remove the idea that he was a product of them.

This is the same argument that Andreychuk needs to be in the Hall of Fame because he scored 640 goals. But in fact, Andreychuk finished in the top-8 goal-scorers-per-year once in 23 seasons.

Osgood played capably for a team that became elite just as he arrived and stopped being elite just as he retired (some Islanders / Blues seasons in between the career in Detroit). Osgood was an average goalie who played for a really strong team for a long time.

This kind of player should not even be in discussion for any 'Hall of Fame' if the institution was trying to be exclusive at all.
