Can we all admit or agree on Vladdy being the most overrated athlete? He’s just not very good at all. One good Covid year in Buffalo. He’s been shit since. Last year was absmal

Predictable at bat there.

Honestly I think the team needs to move on from vladdy. He's just not the guy and I'm not sure he ever will be. Hes basically a very expensive 1b that produces what you could get from a cheap 1 year vet. Just all hype and no substance. He's no Carlos Delgado thats for damn sure. Delgado at 25 was ten times the hitter Vladdy is.

Can't watch the game it's not on TV but Schneider is not in the lineup? I mean you want to use a rotation system with the players fine but you can't bench a guy after what Davis did last game. You simply can't. I've done enough amateur sport to know Davis is frustrated today and unless he is hated in the locker room a couple of other guys are also frustrated by that.

The analytics team made the lineup card. Can't have a guy getting a big hit, disrupting our flow of not scoring runs.

Good thing Davis isn’t the lineup. Gotta make sure we get shutout.

3 straight shutouts it would be now.

What a f***ing joke organization

Bassitt with 2 putrid starts in a row

So far feels like last year never ended, this team isn't great and is really pretty boring.

I just dont have the energy for it this yr, last season i trudged through hours and hours of bad innings and terrible ABs.
This season im turning it off when they're playing like trash, which seems to be frequently.
Don't see how they sniff playoffs or even wildcard.

No excuse. Why even put yourself in that position this early in the season.

Vintage Flop AB.

I'm a Habs fan and i'm still wondering how Marc Bergevin could waste Price and Subban/Weber. The guy was just sitting on his *** and waiting for some magic to happen. Atkins reminds me Marc Begevin a lot honestly. Not terrible at trades but awful at team building.
The Moreno trade is probably the baseball equivalent of trading Ryan McDonagh.

I said I wouldn’t watch as long as Schneider was the manager and I am sticking by it. Hopefully, vlad and others get back to their norms but early signs aren’t great that’s for sure

At least you guys made it to a finals. You're spoiled compared to us.

Moving from Vladdy will not make Atkins better. You really want Atkins to handle that? Some fans seam to think the only thing the Jays have to do is moving from Vladdy and then pouf some magic will happen and everything will be alright.

He is disappointing but he's far from being the only problem this team has. Varsho is a huge issue. I wish you could just ignore what the Jays paid for him but you can't. Jays traded one of their best prospect along with a good roster player for a guy whose main quality is to be a defensive player.

Had the Jays acquired a real bat for Moreno and Gurrriel the team would be in a far better situation already. Before taking the decision to move away from Vladdy i'd replace the whole management team first.

Years from now we’ll look back on this era of Jays baseball and wonder just how Atkins could have squandered the promise of this roster so badly.
The 2021 roster was the best one the team had. Vladdy actually had a year up to his potential. Since then, his best year was a 2.8 WAR. Last year it was 1.0 which is terrible for him. Bo's best year was 2021 and he's had a worse WAR in each of the following seasons. To be honest, both have been below expectations so far.

Turner and Biggio are the only two players who have an OPS around where they should be or more. The rest are significantly lower. I was perplexed by how there were few changes with the hitting coaches. There were a number of guys who had seasons well below expectations. I don't have the stats but it seems there's a lot of weak contact with the team. Not like they are pounding the ball and getting unlucky.

I think hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in all of pro sports. Look at a guy like Varsho, a great athlete, can run, very smart base runner, can catch the ball, can make highlight reel plays on D, but can not master hitting. Too bad.
15-20 years ago a guy like that would never stick in the big leagues. Barker talks about it all the time. There was nobody hitting .200 that stuck. now they are dime a dozen. blows my mind.
