I never realized how effective social media was in boosting young athletes playing careers than with Lane Hutson. Kid can play like absolute trash but he gets a pass and they will fight you to the death online. Must be a lot of 5'8" guys who couldnt make NCAA and/or Juniors posting because they seem to love the little fellar with a passion and fury that is rare to see.

As a Canadian, not only is Hutson the scariest player in the tourney, wait until the games start to matter and he turns it on, the kid is an absolute GAMER, very jealous we don't have him

this would carry more weight if you weren’t a Montreal Canadian fan! But agree with you that Canada could use him and he does seem as likely as any other skaters to single-handedly take over a game

Pavel must be the worst "scout" I have ever seen on these forums. He posts a lot so maybe he stands out a bit but I mean some of his takes are the worst I've heard.

And it's not like he's actually scouting and finding gems in the rough out there. He literally just posts about kids who chase all the hype and everyone already knows.

Guys like Pavel are the lifeblood of HF. Go look at any prospect thread and there is a chance he was the first one to do the legwork. This place would be dreadfully boring without guys like him. They allow lazy MFers like me to cherry pick our favorites

This is why not taking Hagens was stupid. We are almost certainly locked into Gauthier, Smith, and Nazar as our top three centers.

Because if you move Nazar or Gauthier off center, you are inserting Moore or someone at 3C, and then you have to demote someone who isn’t ready to play 4th line. It’d have to be like Leonard or Brindley moved there, and those guys aren’t among the biggest forward problems right now. Another option would be demoting Howard to 13F, but he’s also playing well. The problems are Gauthier and McGroarty, who we kind of need to keep giving chances, given their status on the team.

My attempt to build different lines, but I doubt we’re going to change much.

Perreault-Smith-Snuggerud
Howard-Moore-Brindley
Finley-Nelson-Leonard

Don't split Howard and Nazar. They've been pretty damn good together

Tons of Canadiens fans online, Canadian teams bias from the hockey media (most of which is in Canada) which results in Canadian teams' prospects getting overhyped. If the Coyotes drafted Hutson, there would be less hype and much harsher criticism.

I've been watching some YouTube "When Animals Attack" type videos to stay awake. Good Lord, this world is a dangerous place. I now know that Brown Bears, Chimpanzees and Alligators are NOT my friend - I guess I always knew but... WOW! Scary stuff.

Certainly it's a nice service and I enjoy learning about how prospects are playing at 16 years old. What's not right is forming super strong opinions about those players at that age and holding firm to them as things change over the years, draft year, post draft years... Personally I try to change my mind as much as events dictate!

- I don't understand why there is two extra players if they are not used when there is a chance.
- Terrance and Minnetian IN, Fortescue and Hayes OUT.
- I have zero confidence when they are on their own zone.
- Cutter really needs that goal.
- Buium was very good in the first period.

The extra players can’t be used because they’re not on the roster. They have to take someone’s roster spot to play. They’re just injury insurance
