Why can’t you be happy that one of our first round picks had 3 points? I thought you were a fan of American hockey.

You hate the OHL forwards that are in USA roster consideration. This isn’t hard because you do. lol. You downplayed their success and ability in pursuit of your Stramel griping. The posts are right there. I have nothing against Stramel and I made excuses for him last year. At the end of the day, he’s not that good. I’m glad he played well yesterday. I haven’t seen the clips from that one. I’m not gonna use any random game to say USA is stupid for not putting him on the team. You’ll drive yourself crazy doing that.

This thread seriously needs the camp to start...

Any news on Rutger? Main reason I wanted Musty to be there is that if Rutger can't play in tournament you still have another player who can score. Same can be said about Eiserman. Of course, they're not directly comparable, but if Rutger drops out, I'd rather have seen Musty or Eiserman join the lineup than Whitelaw or Finley.

I’m ready for camp to start also. I looove this time of year….the anticipation Is awesome.

No reason not to run through our group this year. Really important to get the top seed in the group cuz Canada, Sweden, and Finland should go 1,2,3 on the other side and I’d like to avoid that crossover game.

Glad to see Luneau back on Canada. I hate the fact that they get to say “look at all the guys we’re missing”. I wish the Nhl woukd agree to let this be best on best every year to avoid that distraction.

I have to imagine USA Hockey believes Rutger will be there. Maybe not right away but they wouldn't add him to camp if there was significant doubt. Musty would have been a nice add as well, these are the problems we need to keep having...too many damn good players not enough spaces.

Musty seems in the same boat as Eiserman. The top 6-8 is pretty damn locked even without Rutger..not sure they would be put into a position to succeed honestly ..

Also hope many of the OG's show up in a few weeks...Cagney, Rabid, USAHockey22, etc...etc.. One of the best parts of this tournament is the small group that has been here for a decade or two cheering our boys on...one day, one day we all need to meet up for a World Cup(lol) or WJC...we might only need 2 booths at Applebee's to fill up lol...

That forward group is just lol.....good luck. Slot it however you like but that is filthy. I put Nazar at center to start, ease the kid Hagens in and see how he does...they can flip flop no issues there.

If for whatever the reason McGroarty can't go then Terrance makes the squad and push up Moore..

I think Brindley is an anchor here and in a good way. Seems to not be getting much love but this kid is what we wish for year in and out as a center on our teams let alone a damn 4C lol...

I have Hayes here. I like his size, shot and motor. Kid will give us his all...

For defense it is a solid if unspectacular group. Maybe that's exactly what we need. We are weak on LDs but Hutson and Buium will carry the bulk of the work. Chelsey needs to be an anchor on the back end for us. PK could be a concern with all the skill we have but we should be able to put together enough to hold down the fort...

Stay out of the box, use our speed, score goals, win and become rich!! This is the way.

It's not complicated. Is Hastings the best coach for young players? Probably not. Did Stramel earn a spot in the WJC? Also probably not.

It's a loaded forward group, even without Cooley, and much better players than him have missed he cut (Boldy, Tuch).
