I like how he brings up the extra 1p in 3gp, like it's showing an expanded sample size.

1p in 3gp is actually a worse scoring pace than he had in his freshman year.

We’re a week and a half before decisions need to be made and he’s already practicing with no contact. I got no clue, but guessing that he wasn’t injured that long ago, that should be enough time for McGroarty to be ready.

We have a million guys who can shoot it. Gauthier isn't so much better shooting than every other player. Get Gauthier in front of the net, and Nelson off the PP. Hagens should be in Gauthier spot, and Gauthier in Nelson's spot.

I imagine Casey and Hutson will be on different pairings, but I expect Casey to be a stud for us in all 3 zones. Wouldn't mind seeing the two top pairs as follows:

Buium - Casey
Hutson - Chesley

That would be my guess, but they scrimmaged today with Hutson-Casey as a pairing. Maybe it was just a have fun at a scrimmage thing.

Loading up the top pair like that doesn't make much sense, unless down a goal with 2 minutes left.

I feel like this is USA’s tourney to lose. They’re stacked, Canada is in a down year, Swe/Fin are not super impressive. Too bad Slaf and Nemec are stuck in the NHL, would be cool to see Slovakia maybe make a run.

If we don’t win, it’d be a disappointment. I think we go in with the best roster on paper. Our last win was 3 years ago. Not a super big drought, but we should be winning once every four without Russia in the mix.

That's not true. If Canada had Bedard, Fantilli, Wright, Benson and Matthew Poitras up front with KK on the back end, Canada would be (heavy) favourites.

Not HEAVY favourites, especially considering this US roster, but if we're adding all those players back in to the Canada lineup, don't forget to give Logan Cooley back to the US.
