After your initial post bringing up Stramel's 3 assist game as if it magically erased the last 2 seasons of mediocre production.I was responding to someone who quoted my post on the topic after the fact, was pushing it, and wrong.
I imagine Casey and Hutson will be on different pairings, but I expect Casey to be a stud for us in all 3 zones. Wouldn't mind seeing the two top pairs as follows:Taking a quick stab at this, I imagine most our rosters are pretty damn close.
Howard - Gauthier - Snuggerud
Perrault - Smith - Leonard
McGroarty - Nazar - Hagens
Moore - Brindley - Hayes
Nelson
Hutson - Casey
Buium - Rinzel
Fortescue - Chelsey
Pohlkamp
That forward group is just lol.....good luck. Slot it however you like but that is filthy. I put Nazar at center to start, ease the kid Hagens in and see how he does...they can flip flop no issues there.
If for whatever the reason McGroarty can't go then Terrance makes the squad and push up Moore..
I think Brindley is an anchor here and in a good way. Seems to not be getting much love but this kid is what we wish for year in and out as a center on our teams let alone a damn 4C lol...
I have Hayes here. I like his size, shot and motor. Kid will give us his all...
For defense it is a solid if unspectacular group. Maybe that's exactly what we need. We are weak on LDs but Hutson and Buium will carry the bulk of the work. Chelsey needs to be an anchor on the back end for us. PK could be a concern with all the skill we have but we should be able to put together enough to hold down the fort...
Stay out of the box, use our speed, score goals, win and become rich!! This is the way.
Pavlov or whatever his name is, has a huge hard on for Stramel. I’m starting to think it’s Charlie’s dad at this point.I thought this WAS the Stramel thread.![]()
Two of those assists were off broken plays caused by Stramel that his teammates picked up the slack to score the goalAfter your initial post bringing up Stramel's 3 assist game as if it magically erased the last 2 seasons of mediocre production.
Yeah based on the last D-1s to make the team, I would assume so. I think Matthews was the most used player against Russia in the quarterfinal elimination in 2015How they handle Hagens will be interesting. I might end up wrong, but just from hazarding a guess about the way USAH operates, if they weren't thinking about using him in a top 6 role, I don't think he would have been invited at all.
Gauthier is a top 5 pick who has been phenomenal in college, had a great WJHC as an 18 year old, and tore up the men's WHC as a 19 year old. I'd say the eyes are already pretty wide open on him.Cutter Gauthier is going to open some eyes this tournament. Seamus Casey too.
Perrault and Moore will disappoint
Which is pretty crazy considering there is an entire line of 2023 first liners, who are all PPG+ freshmen, with 2+ years of chemistry together, who will also be competing for 2nd line duties. How they handle Hagens will be interesting. Yep. Wouldn't be surprised to see him between Snuggerud and Gauthier when camp starts.Which is pretty crazy considering there is an entire line of 2023 first liners, who are all PPG+ freshmen, with 2+ years of chemistry together, who will also be competing for 2nd line duties.
But Hagens has that sort of talent.
I could see that - he's got some similarities with Logan Cooley so I could see that working out.Yep. Wouldn't be surprised to see him between Snuggerud and Gauthier when camp starts.

See ya in a few weeks lol!
Guess we'll see soon, but Gabe has had the better season this year, despite a year younger than Cutter.Cutter Gauthier is going to open some eyes this tournament. Seamus Casey too.
Perrault and Moore will disappoint
Gauthier will be an absolute weapon on the PP. He will draw a ton of attention that will also open it up for the rest of the powerplay.Cutter Gauthier is going to open some eyes this tournament. Seamus Casey too.
Perrault and Moore will disappoint
I’ll predict the opposite, just to have some fun: Gauthier will disappoint (other than PP goals) and Perrault will be the eye-opener.Cutter Gauthier is going to open some eyes this tournament. Seamus Casey too.
Perrault and Moore will disappoint
DraftKings has USA +700.. Canada +300.. I will definitely be on USA at that number.
TBF if Commesso wasn't COVID protocol'd in the Tournament that Never Was and then didn't opt out of the summer tournament, he would have been a good option. As a side note, this feels like the first time since our last gold medal that I have a lot of faith in our two top goaltending options. After a 5 year stretch of pretty strong goaltending options at this tournament (2017-2021), the last couple years we've really struggled in net. But 18 y/o Augustine and 19 y/o Fowler feel like a pretty big upgrade.
Silverstein was also pretty good until he couldn't play anymore for whatever reason we still haven't heard about yet.TBF if Commesso wasn't COVID protocol'd in the Tournament that Never Was and then didn't opt out of the summer tournament, he would have been a good option.
Those '03 and '04 Goalies were just a wasteland, lol
I'm seeing Canada +135 and USA +300 less than two hours later, you all must really moved that line quick lolDraftKings has USA +700.. Canada +300.. I will definitely be on USA at that number.
