Who’s going to get the most points for Canada in this tournament?

I think Dumais gets the most points just because he’s a secondary assist machine

I mean Dumais also tends to score more primary assists than everybody else.

Guys can get some random secondary assists that they didn't contribute towards, but you don't lead a league in that stat unless you're actually doing the creating, being a huge contributor.

Poitras or Savoie. If anyone gets a ton of second assists its probably going to be Mateychuk.

Players of Dumais' archetype (small later round selection playing for first time at 19yo) don't tend to light up this tournament for Canada.

Which is good. The amount of hype and pressure they put on kids like Bedard was crazy. Usually kids that young dont have significant impacts so tempering expectations is not a bad thing
Yeah how many DY guys have been impact players? Besides Bedard and McDavid not many. Laf was but he was already 18 and in his second tournament

Agree. To his credit, Bedard has handled it REALLY well and excelled.

It's crazy to think (as someone else pointed out) he is eligible for not just 2024 but 2025 as well. Think of the damage he'd do.

We might not have the stars of years past, but here's to hoping hard work & chemistry are enough to topple Swed/USA.
When are the first televised ex games?

He might be more impactful than Bedard on the whole ice however, I don't think he is far from Bedard.
He looks pretty damn dynamic and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him leading the tournament in scoring.

I don’t know how we’re going to work the lines next year with both Celebrini AND Bedard!

Fair enough. I just thought it was strange thing for Duthie to say - out of no where. Maybe he gets asked a LOT?

You mean in Chicago?

Same, I think he will lead the tournament. How lucky are we? 2 years in a row with special players.

I actually DIDN’T mean Chicago as it was a joke about having them both at this tournament when we’ll probably have neither… but you do make a good point that Celebrini could well end up in Chicago. They’re the favourites to land him at this point. The Blackhawks really know how to time their tanking. 😂

Yes. What are the odds currently?
