Link?the slovak coach said yesterday that Poitras.... and Fantilli will join team Canada
Feels like the 2nd unit is more like the 1st unit lol
I really want to see Allard on that line to start out with, see what he has got to add to this team and if he looks to be in over his head he drops down to 13th forward. So new lineup?
Geekie - Poitras - Savoie
Minten - Celebrini - Dumais
Cowan - Yager - Wood
Rehkopf - Beck - Danielson
Allard

Allard - Beck - Danielson
I'm all for it, but if it's not Allard who should be the 13th forward?I really want to see Allard on that line to start out with, see what he has got to add to this team and if he looks to be in over his head he drops down to 13th forward.

Compared to what the U.S. can put out on the power play you have the stark realization as to the comparative strength’s of these two teams.
The day has arrived where Canada needs to send its best to have a chance of competing for gold.
I am thinking Rehkopf, though I really like that player.
What's your frank assessment of our d- corps this year?To put the importance of getting Poitras on this team in perspective -
The best eligible American player (and the only guy they’re missing due to being in the NHL) is Cooley, who is -11 with 16 points (and only 6 even strength points) in 30 games with premier usage on the Coyotes.
Poitras is +3 with 13 points (12 even strength) in much less favourable usage and fewer GP. Dude will be our 1C going in, without a doubt.

If we win gold, it will be on the unparalleled two-way strength of these forwards (and especially the centres).
Weakest on paper in a while but could theoretically work brilliantly if Luneau and Mateychuk gel as potentially the best pairing in the tournament, and Lamoureux and Warren work well on the big ice as the defensive conscience for Molendyk and Furlong/Bonk.What's your frank assessment of our d- corps this year?
I'm worried about the twin towers pivoting on the big ice when covering the skill guys.Weakest on paper in a while but could theoretically work brilliantly if Luneau and Mateychuk gel as potentially the best pairing in the tournament, and Lamoureux and Warren work well on the big ice as the defensive conscience for Molendyk and Furlong/Bonk.
Me too. I like both players quite a lot, but I’d feel a lot more certain about them if this was on NA ice.I'm worried about the twin towers pivoting on the big ice when covering the skill guys.
Switch Wood and Dumais and lets goooooooo! To put the importance of getting Poitras on this team in perspective -
