Having our talent poached is a compliment. We should keep striving for it. We may lose some talent for this team, but it means we create too much talent, I’m okay with that.
If I had a choice between the "compliment" and a World Junior Gold, I'll take the latter EVERY time.

Benson is skating on the top line with Skinner out in Buffalo. He has a highlight reel goal and an equally good primary assist.

You can go ahead and cross him off in permanent marker.
We need some GOOD news for a change - yes he played REALLY well tonight. 😢

Someone is, don't think I have seen any indication on who the last cut was.
Just an assumption on my part thinking they will go with the highest profile scorer player but who knows? he just may not fit with the type of team they want to have, I wasnt expecting Allard to make it so.....

I'm not sure anybody has an real ideas, just guesses. It certainly doesn't feel like the Hockey Canada brass is too moved by big scoring totals, so it's not necessarily Firkus. Personally, I think that when you have a sizeable body of work with good scoring production, that should trump a couple of days at a camp when you aren't playing your best game.

What do you guys rate the chances of seeing Celebrini at 1C before the tournament is over? Seems to me like the obvious move to provide a spark if the offense struggles at some point.

I question whether he has the defensive ability to be the guy down the middle at 17 years old. It is a pretty massive ask from the kid. They have Minten on his wing right now I wouldn't be shocked if he ends up on Mintens wing in the long run.

These kids are going to go out and try their best. All you can ask from them in a tournament that's massively hyped up thanks to the TSN marketing machine. Other companies should be taking notes. Roster is essentially set and all we can hope is that the coaches get the team ready for success. Focus should be on the coaches now as they've been given a roster talented enough to win, they just need to get the team to that point.

That's just it......we don't know. First exhibition game is on tuesday against some Danish U25 team, it's time they either get word from the bruins or move on and decide on a cut player, times a ticking here.
They said from the day they picked the team that the cut off would be the NHL roster freeze. I would assume that hasn't changed.
