Gaucher is too old and Musty is American. I think Matthew Savoie is another that has a good chance of making the team.

Don’t know how Misa is on the team, but Catton wasn’t even mentioned for the ones you didn’t select.

Berk was a demon at the Hlinka, no way Misa makes this years team over Catton unless Misa goes Connor-mode. Catton's put up 11 points so far in 4 preseason games and looks even better than he did at the tourament in august, preseason doesnt mean much but Berk is going to have a huge draft year. Id be surprised if he doesnt make the team.

Last years defence was big soft and slow. What you guys think of this year defence ? Will it be soft and slow ?

We didn’t dominate last year and basically got a little lucky.

I want to know how our defence will shape up ?

You have to be a "little lucky" to win the WJR's - I can't remember a team, minus 2005 Canada, that didn't get a "little lucky".

The D should be very strong this year - especially if KK comes back. The O should be very strong as well - albeit very young. It will be very painful to lose Bedard and Fantilli. If Wright comes back, that would be a bonus.

It will be interesting to see how Canada does - people are writing us off but the upside to this team is huge.

if Owen Beck is back on this team I imagine he is the captain,, even though i dont think he has much of an NHL future,, he is good at the junior level

Having seen him play against St. Louis, absolutely not. Reminds me of when McDavid was eligible to return for Canada in Toronto/Montréal 2017 and (technically) was the best player in the NHL that year because he won the Hart Trophy
I did not see the game but that's good news and nice to hear.

Yep Bedard is going to produce in the NHL at a good clip.

I doubt Seattle will loan Wright again, he looks like he will make the lineup.

Fantilli, there is a small chance imo.
