No Russians. Not because they are Russian.I'd do that, but I don't think Calgary would.
But because @EdJovanovski 's creepy feels about them make me really queasy.

a center, with some speed, that scores the puck, that has compete and intensity, that is also a riser. this franchise lacks those things. we again have no centers in the system but this kid has a chance to be one. he has tools. not the guy to dealBMB is actually the kind of guy I’d be fine moving.
very good point when you look at the big pictureThey should've signed one of him or Kane and gotten rid of Goodrow in the offseason.
The opportunity cost in keeping Goodrow so long is the problem area.
And for those who say we would've gotten fleeced in a Goodrow cap dump trade, we'll likely give up more now to try to acquire a 1RW at the deadline.
BMB will not stop Drury from landing a piece that he feels they need to compete against other teams, that are obviously starting to stack up.Completely agree on BMB. Trading a rising prospect would be the most dark age rangers move possible.
the issue is what does another high priced player that we have to slot out of position do for this team? trade bmb for the right player if you must, but guentzel is sqaure peg round hole.BMB will not stop Drury from landing a piece that he feels they need to compete against other teams, that are obviously starting to stack up.
His numbers seem way off from last year, is there a reason other than he just had a career type year last year?If Debrusk is truly available then he should be our number one target. A 1st, Sykora and Jones for Debrusk.
AMEN to this!!!!That team is going to go through a nasty rebuild. They've got next to nothing. Let someone else pony up for him. I hope they suck for 20 years.
If you believe in this core, yes it’s probably the year. Unfortunately, I don’t believe in this core enough - mostly Mika and Trouba related.Guentzal is the ultimate high risk high reward move. Is this the year to toss in all the chips on this core? If not now, when? One or two years from now, all current relevant players aging further?
Maybe it’s the year to really go for it. It’s scary to mortgage the future, but I think it’s just as important to take risks when the timing is right. Probably nothing sadder than leaving moves on the table and ultimately coming up short.
Is he actually any good? My impression was basically 3rd line center mayyyybeCompletely agree on BMB. Trading a rising prospect would be the most dark age rangers move possible.
Bern would approve. He's been trying to pencil in Zib at RW for years.Trade for Guentzel and extend him, trade Zibanejad, run Guentzel as the new 1C
surely that would work
Maybe. Reading the room a little.Given the returns for Mantha and Tarasenko(I understand the NMC was in play on Vlad), Drury shouldnt have to move a 2nd for Wennberg if he is including a prospect like Robertson or BMB. Just my two cents. Maybe that's why the trade hasnt gone through yet?

Ten bucks says that if Zibanejad finishes his contract here that he’s playing wing by the end of itBern would approve. He's been trying to pencil in Zib at RW for years.
Vanek? This is truly crazy. Does anyone remember a time when a pretty good player was traded twice like this in such a short amount of time? I can't imagine the Canucks are gonna get what they paid for him.
Maybe 75 cents on the dollar if they are lucky.
Yeah, its getting a little silly. If we're trading any 1st rounders, it better damn well be for a player signed beyond this year. No rentals for 1sts.

I heard middle/ third week of March.I noticed that Guentzel is on LTIR. I wonder how long he will be out for if a trade is being worked on?
BMB may be Brian Boyle. I don't see Sergei Nemchinov or Joel Otto upside in him.BMB will not stop Drury from landing a piece that he feels they need to compete against other teams, that are obviously starting to stack up.
