Vancouver going hard for Guentzel apparently. After already adding Lindholm. But what about their future!!!!

I think Drury has shown that he's not going to be like GMs in the past.....most of his moves have been savvy and addressed our needs at the time -- except, of course, for the Kane fiasco (which I put squarely on Dolan's shoulders). I get the impression that Drury (like many of us) does not believe that we can win a cup with this group and I do not see him making any "all or nothing" moves. Wasting valuable assets for (and signing) aging players was pure Sather.
I'd do that, but I don't think Calgary would.Give me Sharangovich for our 1st in 24 and Matt Robertson
3 way trade with Van and Pitts where Van gets Guentzel, and Rangers get Lindholm for a songLindholm will be moved if they get Guentzel
Great one bad trade. It also wasn’t a deadline move.
but the fact that people think that somehow adding him means you are spliting up mika and chris is the issue. mika and chris are staying togther so is jake coming here and making that line better and to what degree? The downplaying of Guentzel here is weird. Id be thrilled to have a guy who can produce at a star level and learned what it takes to win from Sidney Crosby.
Completely agree on BMB. Trading a rising prospect would be the most dark age rangers move possible.please dont trade BMB and dont be fulled by the power of full NMC and people picking their new home.
Robertson I dont care about right now

Obviously not long enough to stop teams askingI noticed that Guentzel is on LTIR. I wonder how long he will be out for if a trade is being worked on?
NMC so he had all the leverage and forced his way to FL3rd and 4th for Vlad? And we paid a 1st last year. Nice.
BMB is actually the kind of guy I’d be fine moving.I get liking prospects but why is the Rangers entire top 10 list untouchable?
BMB is a very mid level prospect that we likely won't miss.Completely agree on BMB. Trading a rising prospect would be the most dark age rangers move possible.
And then is it worth the loss of our top prospects in doing so?but the fact that people think that somehow adding him means you are spliting up mika and chris is the issue. mika and chris are staying togther so is jake coming here and making that line better and to what degree?
Then trading more than what he traded Buch for, back to STL for Tarasenko, who then goes on to be outscored by Blais the rest of the seasonGreat one bad trade. It also wasn’t a deadline move.
they aren't splitting up. the team is firmly in the playoffs and they have been married together through three coaches at this point. if they get split it is for one of those periods where the team is shit and you are sending a message. they are married through this year again. it is crazy to think otherwise because there is NOTHING over years that indicates they will split them up. And splitting them up means one is going to your "3rd line" which nyr just will not do to either of these marquee players that have been here so long, and they aren't dumb enough to actually split up the trocheck line. adding another lw to a team that needs c and rw is another mistake.I dont think there's no chance they get split up. I think Lavi will try things down the stretch, especially if he's playing with a full deck of forwards. And Guentzel is a hard working player who shoots the puck. Sounds like a pretty good fit for that pair's wing in my opinion.
No one said the entire top 10 is untouchable. Very comfortable moving positions which are obviously areas of strength for the team. Not comfortable moving our only legitimate C prospect.I get liking prospects but why is the Rangers entire top 10 list untouchable?
there are better fits for the actual needs of this team than blowing it's load on a lw for a roster that needs help at rw and cAnd then is it worth the loss of our top prospects in doing so?
I absolutely want Guentzel at this point, but not to the point of completely mortgaging the future. If I had more confidence in our 1C to be a Cup winning 1C, maybe my opinion would change on that.
