Orioles dominate the top 100

They need to market the hair on these guys

Rutschman
Holliday
Henderson

The potential to turn Camden Yards into sell outs is right there

Soon he won’t have Kowloon
Holliday has a great personality for sports and seems like he will be a great ball player. Orioles will be scary for the next 10+ years if the new owners do what the Red Sox don't... Lock up their young players.

They raised ticket prices all while knowing they had no intention of doing anything of significance after another last place finish. That’s a special kind of screw you from John henry.
I loathe Henry and always have but it’s not his fault the sheep continue to willingly line up to be fleeced. That’s on the fan who keep shelling out big money for a really shitty product.

Shoot, if their idea of full throttle is waiting for the young kids to develop. May as well spend 17.00 and go see a Sea Dogs game this year.

It's surprising MLB is ok with how this shady ownership operates intentionally not making the team better and driving down the value of the franchise, the league, and interest in baseball as a whole. If they won't sell the team I'd be ok with MLB stepping in to make sure they do.
You think the owners in Oakland, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh would vote to force John Henry to sell the Red Sox because he might only spend $200 million in payroll this year instead of $230 million?

who knows but MLB should definitely want accountability from this so called FSG Group who don't really contribute much to baseball as a whole. It would be in their long term interest to boot them from the table. It's either that or continue the path of destroying the franchise as they are doing

John Fisher has spent the better part of the last 15 years cashing MLB revenue sharing checks and running the Oakland A's into the ground, and no one in MLB seems to have a problem with it. Not sure why they'd care about the status of FSG's payroll.

I don't think I've ever cheered on the fact that an ownership group like the A's has an absurdly low payroll.

I do admire the way teams like the Rays and Orioles manage to find ways to win with payrolls that are a fraction the size of their competitors. There's a difference.

Lol a complete BS tweet from Rob Bradford. This wasn't something brewing with the Red Sox. This is almost a taunt from John Henry. You guys wanted Theo to run the Red Sox? Nah, I'm gonna bring him in on a part time basis to oversee various items in our FSG portfolio. Thanks John!

Had they done this type of thing before hiring Breslow maybe I'd feel differently about it. But the cloud of mystery doesn't lead me to believe he will be heavily involved with just the Red Sox.

It states that his responsibilities will be "sports initiatives across the business' holdings, which include Liverpool FC, the Pittsburg Penguins, RFK Racing, TGL's Boston Common Golf, and a recently acquired stake in the the PGA tour, in addition to the Red Sox". The creator of the article for sportico just had to throw in the "oh yeah, the Red Sox too" at the end there to crush our expectations. - The article goes on to say that "on the baseball side, Epstein says he'll act as a sounding board and executive coach, if needed, to the Red Sox baseball operations people".

I'd love to be wrong, but I don't think this makes a difference. We know that Theo has been looking to join an ownership group for a while, and the Red Sox naturally made sense as his hometown team. I'd guess that part of the deal of letting him into FSG was that he'd have to provide advice to the baseball ops organization, but that doesn't mean he'll actually be an active participant in baseball matters. It's just good PR for FSG to say "hey, we're doing something".

Orioles had 100 losses seasons alot of times and stockpiled high picks that most like Redsox and Yankees could dream about since always contending. That said these guys will need to be paid soon enough which will show us alot about their new ownership. That Burnes deal was really smart cause it takes pressure off rest of that rotation. That Rodriguez kid to me is going to be a stud if he stays healthy.Orioles are not going away anytime soon regardless
