Last year was my first season with seats, and I stupidly forgot to redeem the voucher for the Ekholm lithographs by the deadline at the end of August.

Before I try and see if they'll grant me an exception, anyone have any luck getting the lithographs after the deadline?

Oops....I just realized that I did as well.

I would shoot the season ticketing people an email and ask.

Go to the Oilers Store in the Ice District with your voucher. They had oodles of them there when I picked up mine last week.

Ugh.

I just spent the last week showing the most technologically inept person imaginable how to accept, manage and use his Oiler tickets. Loading to an Apple wallet was a step I didn't bother with as to not add another step to a process that was already confusing for him.

I don't know why they think they need to do this. Anybody that shows their ticket off the browser probably won't have got the message and it will just cause disruption at the gate. Just keep things simple for f*** sakes.

It’s super easy to put in the wallet but I feel your pain. I’ve transferred tickets to friends who then call me from the gate trying to get in asking how they get their tickets…

I don't understand how people don't download their tickets ahead of time, pisses me off when they are trying to bring them up in the line. I usually download to my Google wallet, don't understand how people aren't using that either. Screw credit cards. I loaded the Rogers app and it seems to have everything there, it would be nice to have the discount card there...

It really isn't complicated, but for folks that go to games only here or there I could see how it would be confusing.

For the discount card they ask to see the back of the card to see the discount level. Mine is 15%, does it go up the longer you have been a SSH?

Liar. you weren't even with me. ;)

JK aside a lot of people are averse to having such things as an apple wallet and I refuse to have it as well.

Ticketmaster needs a swift kick in the legal balls.

Can't speak for others but I don't have Apple Wallet Or Google wallet and never would have it. Don't like being required to either. Back when I had ticketmaster before all the latest breaches and hacks I found it usable but not user friendly. Really a headache for people that don't go to many events. Each time I went to an event I had to re download the app, get and updates, screw around awhile to get the tickets to even show. Not everybody is into the tech at all. I hate it. Very hard to navigate when your vision isn't that great at reading small print on a smartphone. Add that in bright settings I can't even see the smartphone screen. The handfull of times I've had e tickets I've loaded them before leaving home. But even this f***ed up a couple times as I have no data coverage and have to use the offline method which is tricky. I have just a basic plan because I never use smart phone for anything.

Probably the majority of people that don't go to events often don't know how to do any of this. How would they? There isn't anybody on my block that would know how to do this. For people that go to 100 events a year it must seem like second nature. For people that go to a ticketmaster event every year or two (vast majority of people) its anything but second nature. Tons of people get help to do this.

It’s a pain in the ass when I tell them what they need to do several times beforehand and >not< to wait till they are walking into the arena and in the ticket line.

Ticket transfers also come with instructions and it’s very intuitive - if you know how to use iPhone basic functions and know how to read it’s very simple really.

If your a Luddite, well then your shit outta luck I guess.

No its 15% for all STH

When it comes to computers I can do basically anything. Due to visibility problems (I'm 63 and bad eyes. I can't read normal size print) I can't do anything with a smartphone. I also have bricklayer hands, , and so small puny smartphones are just the bane of me. I try to type on those f***ing things and I hit 5 keys at once. Seems they were made for 12 yr olds or people that are 120lbs and tiny.

Ticket transfer instructions are anything but intuitive. If they were people wouldn't have so much difficulty with it. But again you go to over 100 events a year probably and so its probably become second nature. For people like me that rarely go to e ticket events its a shitshow. If I did it 100 times maybe I'd find it easy as well. But I basically can't use smart phones because they're so f***ing tiny.

I HATE smartphones so of course I despise any system that necessitates their use.
