he had a great deep ball this year too

Tyrod Taylor is his floor imo and that’s a great floor to have (people forget he was 22-20 as the bills qb with a 51/16 TD/INT)

Hell I’d sign Taylor for the QB room too

Daniels has a good arm that’s only going to get stronger as he adds muscle to his lanky frame. That’s my only concern with him. You’re better off drafting a good qb than an elite WR
If the decision is Daniels, I 100% want them signing Tyrod and having him start for the majority of the first year.

I think sitting and learning for a year is invaluable to these young QBs. Especially in situations like this one where the team isn’t good anyways.

The final 4 QBs are 3 1st rounders and a guy surrounded by what may be the greatest collection of offensive talent since the Greatest Show on Turf

The odds of all three QB's being elite QB's in this league is slim. Very slim. The only sure thing probably is Williams at #1, guy is a headcase though so we'll see. The stats tell us that it's likely 1 of 3 will be a good QB. We're not getting Williams.

Not drafting Harrison would be a huge mistake. Take a QB in the 2nd round. Sign a vet. Rebuild that way.

They are going to spend, there's a cap floor they need to hit. What the question should be is if they are going to go out and actually add talent, give them the guarantees they need to sign or are they just going to spend on a bunch of tier 2 or 3 free agents that they can easily get rid of after a year or two without it hitting Kraft's pocket? Onwenu will give us a clue about that before free agency even opens.

Not sure I understand the Daniels hate.

On the surface, he completes a high percentage of his passes, and he doesn't turn the ball over. Maybe doesn't have quite as much arm talent as Williams or Maye, but he certainly has more than someone like Mac Jones, with the added ability to make plays with his legs.

Would I take him ahead of Williams or Maye? Probably not. Is he an unreasonable pick at #3? It doesn't seem like it.

He's a lot closer to Mac Jones in arm talent than he is Williams, Maye or any of the top guys in the nfl. When he's kept in the pocket and he doesn't have 2 first round wr getting open all the time against college defenses, is he going to be able to make the throws into the tight windows? Or is he going to be able to throw outside the numbers at the nfl level because we just had to watch a qb who can't make those throws. He's a great athlete for the position but i don't think he's as fast or shifty as someone like Lamar Jackson is either.

I'm coming around on drafting him if he's the qb there at 3 just because you need one but i'm not sold he's going to be that good.

Mel Kiper projects Washington to take Daniels at #2, leaving Maye available to the Pats at 3.
just seems inevitable Maye will be there

Belichick stuff interesting

He would likely have a boss he despises in Atlanta

He probably wants McKay gone and that’s unlikely

Falcons interviewed Harbaugh for the 2nd time. Have to imagine there’s some friction in the talks with Bill. Then again I think Harbaugh is using NFL job as leverage for a monster contract in Michigan.

My prediction: Bill to the Bills. McDermott can’t win the big game.

On that note, what is the average salary for NFL head coach? I wonder how that compares to Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama...

Not very articulate and it begs the question of who the heck is making decisions in the new front office? Can’t imagine the future GM or Football ops is going to be excited about the dynamic and vice versa with the staff if they are hearing stuff like 1000% and burning cash… He needs media training…

Reese, Fauria and Burton are such Patriots ballwashers. Let's see, beginning of the season, Bill O'Brien was the savior. Jones will have a career season.
Now, Jones couldn't start for Saugus HS and O'Brien is gone. But Mayo is a great choice and needs to pick his own people. How much does Kraft pay these clowns?

Sachems had a QB injury this year I think he would’ve slotted in second string

Siri says 6.6 million average salary for NFL head coach. More importantly, NFL coaches contracts aren’t usually very long.

Maybe Harbaugh eyeing the LSU Brian Kelly contract signed a few years ago 10 years 100m. No chance he sniffs that in the NFL

Damn why would you ever leave then. Maybe he's just using these NFL teams to get every last penny from Michigan. College football is a financial bonanza. Surprised the NFL hasn't tried to work its way in to try and get some of that money. Adopt it as an official developmental league. College football is basically turning into an employer/employee type setup, it will get there at some point.

Good for the players having more power and getting paid but being a head coach in college seems exhausting. Everyone is basically on a one year contract now and if they aren't getting playing time immediately might look to transfer. Transfer portal and nil money has made college football the wild west. I can see why every coach who has nfl interest would want to jump to the nfl.

Glad you brought up the one year contract thing because eventually I think we will see standard player contracts in college football.

Another OC interview coming tomorrow

This guy would be wise to stay with Joe Burrow

You had your Mac Binky now I get my Jaylen binky!

It’s been fun watching him climb the rankings all season long. This MF may end up 1 after the combine at this rate

For your sake, I hope we pick Marvin. You don't Daniels on your shoulders. It's a heavy burden to carry. 😂
We’re gonna watch him dominate the league and we’ll have somebody mid like JJ McCarthy or Bo Nix.

AJ Green could only carry Andy Dalton so far (same for Calvin and the Lions), drafting a wr when you don’t have anybody to get him the ball and a weak qb class next year isn’t a great strategy imo (unless they shell out for Kirk)

Again the final 4 QBs this year are #1 pick, top 10 pick, 1st round pick, and guy with elite talent at WR/TE/LT/RB who seems to erode when he doesn’t have it around him. A top 10 pick and a #2 pick and a #1 pick just got eliminated, as did another 1st rounder in Love. It’s a lot easier to just use the high pick on a QB than it is to build a monster offense. Especially with our track record drafting and developing WR. Throw money at Mike Evans (or Pittman if Indy doesn’t franchise, I assume Cincy tags Higgins)

The odds are that he and Maye and Penix will all suck and fail to justify their early picks.

The odds are not in their favor.

And the odds are even worse at the other points in the draft, especially with modern scouting!

QB is always a gamble. Unless they pay Kirk I don’t see another way out
