Hintz not needing surgery is a good thing. Rehab is a gruelling process and surgery doesn't always get you back to 100%. Players often come back worse after major surgeries.

Blumel re-signed to a 1-year, $775k two-way contract according to main boards

You would have watched him most this year.

Could he play a Kiviranta type 4th line wing role?

Or does he need to be in a situation where it's a top 9 scoring line role.

Rutger McGroarty would be a nice fit on this team long term. Winnipeg seems a bit week at RHD, center and they don't have a 1st rounder this year. Maybe something around 29th overall and Kyrou. Alternatively, maybe Bourque straight up?

Doubt they trade him within the division

Oh cool. Hadn't seen the name McGroarty in a long time. In 1997 his dad Jimmy scored the first goal in San Angelo Outlaws franchise history against the Lake Charles Ice Pirates. The reason I remember it is because the goal was scored two seconds into that first game.

He could yes. I don't view him as a scoring line type of player but probably a 25-30 point guy. A 12-15 goals, 10 assists type of guy

You could have easily taken the Blumel-Back-Karlstrom line and plopped it down most places in the NHL and it wouldn't have been out of place playing 4th line minutes. If I told you that was a line on the Washington Capitals and you didn't know those prospects specifically you'd just go along with it.

15:30 in Dreger starts talking about Tanev. He indicated both Dallas and Tanev realize how good a fit he is for this team, and both Dallas and Tanev want to get a deal done.

I would be shocked if Tanev isn't a Star on July 2nd. That assumes he doesn't dig in and wants a term longer than the Stars are willing to give. The money is certainly there to sign him.

Michkov coming over definitely hurts Stankoven's Calder chances a bit

He was never gonna win tho with the way those other guys are gonna get media coverage

Stankoven's other barrier is the guys at the top of the rookie point totals usually play on bad teams, so they're getting first line minutes and tons of PP time.

Stankoven won't be on PP1 here.
