Wonder if anything happens with Lindholm today

Any wild big hammer time predictions today? Something like Bergeron coming out of retirement to join the Bruins would be a fun one

term and cost control is really important in these deals...teams do not want to give up too much if player is going to be a UFA... rumours that Guentzel will sign for Penguins again in the off season
You telling me if we still had Newhook here you wouldn't trade him straight up to rent Goose?

WoIld not be shocked if they go after Dowd and or Lindgren in one fell swoop tomorrow. For all the guys theyre bringing in, they're either a need (2C and D) or they fit a desired player profile (can skate and hit/forecheck). Only CMitts is a C but no one is strong at face offs. Dowd may not fit the profile but as a 4C who is good at faceoffs, C Mac might deviate from the player profile described above to add a complementery skill.

Lindgren speaks for itself.

Cost is the obvious question but some trades have been somewhat reasonable lately.
Dowd would be nice in a vacuum, but numbers wise how do you make that work without shipping someone else out?

Landeskog* - Mackinnon - Rantanen
Lehkonen - Mittelstadt - Nichushkin
Drouin - Colton - Wood
Trenin - Dowd - LOC
Parise, Cogliano, Duhaime, Kovalenko, etc.

Seems like overkill to be sitting a vet like Parise who just signed with the Avs to win a cup, along with Cogliano, Duhaime (who you just paid a 3rd for to be the 15th forward), and Kovalenko (who just cut his contract short in the KHL to come over and who Cmac spoke about being an NHL player.
